Chapter 16 - 17 and beyond · 12:48am Jan 31st, 2013
Hey folks,
The immediate plan was for Chapter 16 at the end of January and Chapter 17 two weeks after. That is behind schedule on account of the medical issues earlier. The “end of January” thing was based entirely on my wrist recovering, which was fine as of last year.
I’ve been trying to stick to it as madly as I can, writing an ungodly amount, but I eventually began to realise I had to slow down and take it more carefully, what I was seeing of Chapter 17 I was not liking.
This is an absolute moment of “release date vs release quality” and I think you folks all know which side of that I fall down on.
SO! Here’s the plan.
Chapter 16 is done done done!
Chapter 17 is 18 pages in (which is about a third of a chapter).
I will release Chapter 16 when Chapter 17 is finished, which should be within the next week at most. After that, you will have two week as the old method for Chapter 17.
After that, I shall have my new schedule up. The idea is to go something like “2 weeks - 2 weeks - 3 weeks” or something. I’m going to time 3 week gaps to the “arc story” ends (think like Chapters 3, 8, 12 etc, big finale ones) to help better allow a backlog time to form. However this is a very fluid situation right now so of course it’s all subject to change. But I’d like to think I’ve built enough of a reliability by now that I could keep going past that. We’ll just judge the schedule as we go, so long as I’m at least 1-2 chapters ahead it gives me lots of breathing room to plan in advance that any dates I hand out work the right way.
So for those of you waiting…fear not. Chapter 16 is very very close now.
Furthermore, while I’m here I’d like to welcome “Doctor Whooves” (as a username) onto the prereading team. he’s been helping with the FimFic updates and has been an all around generous and very helpful guy who is already proving his worth as a prereader.
I cannot wait till we are finally past this medical leave debacle. I’ve been going stir crazy!

I'm actually in the midst of decision making at the mo on this. The team is six strong right now. Whether I need any others is still very much up in the air. I'll keep you guys posted if I want anything. :)
Ummm... I know you probably won't do this, but...
I leave for basic training in a week, and will not have access to the internet for 8 months... If you could either A, send me a copy (on the promise I don't give ti to anyone else), or B, release it early... that would be fantastic...
I only ask, because I know that the next week (after saturday) for me is going to be filled with absolutely zero time to do anything that isn't last minute workouts, learning things, or packing. So, if you don't want to, I don't blame you, but I understand.
(Just remember, asking for something early (when it is confirmed complete) just goes to show how much I appreciate your work.)
