Dammit, still saw it. Ah well, lets wait and see how they are going to do it.
And I completely forgot about it, that is, until I saw my watch list this morning full with the twicorn blog posts. Even after reading all that my response is still: meh.
We simply don't know anything about what is going to happen. Remember how worried people were with the Discord episode? Turned out just fine. Or remember the season 2 finale and how that would be the worst thing ever? Again, turned out fine. Plus it gave us changelings and d'aawwww interaction between Twilight and Shining Armor.
So relax, it's a kids show after all. Plus they haven't done anything completely facepalm worthy.
Oh and btw, Twilight becoming an Alicorn, is that really that much of a surprise? Have you been paying any attention to what has been happening in the series? Like how magic is her special talent and how she discovered that. Being groomed by the Princess. Her growth throughout the series. Or the big megaphone with blinking lights hint "HEY GUYS LOOK AT THIS LITTLE DESTINY REFERENCE WE ARE GIVING" with season 3.
