I owe everyone an apology · 3:07am Jan 24th, 2013
I've been sick, busy with my new semester, and suffering under a condition known as "Procrastination".
I will continue my stories of "Bitterness" and "Predictions" over time. But since there were so many people adding "Bitterness" to their favorites, I want to thank you all for enjoying it.
As to make it up over the lack of updates over both stories, I will tell you that "Prediction and Prophecy" will result in a bittersweet ending approach.
For "Bitterness" I can tell you what the story originally could've been.
The original idea for Bitterness was for Twilight continuing to hold her grudge and being outright stubborn over the years while passing her resentment over her foal. The plot was similar to Ramses from Prince Of Egypt (Kudos for those who got the reference!) But that idea of mine would've been too depressing over the death of Twilight's foal.
My second idea was over on what if Twilight Sparkle WAS wrong about Cadance being evil and involves Twilight atoning. As a consequence, her friends, her brother, and the princess are cold and distant to her. Despite doing her best to regain their forgiveness, the long and constant shunning made Twilight herself bitter about them. When the day comes that they finally forgiven her, it's too late for Twilight and instead of satisfaction. She feels bitterness and even spite for the approval. In fact, she basically tells them all to "Go to Tartarus" and saying that since they've treated her as a bad guy for so long, then she's going to be a bad guy.
I decided that it was too cruel for any of them to act like that. Plus, it was too similar to the notorious Hey Arnold episode Arnold Betrays Iggy
What's my current story end up? You'll have to patiently wait and see.

Thanks for understanding dude, what did you think about my original ideas for "Bitterness?" Which one do you prefer?
Because I may reconsider those ideas.
745462 Hmm, hard to say to be honest. What you currently have for "Bitterness" is fine, seeing as it ends with Twilight requesting some time alone to cool off, so Black Kyurem will be interested to see what Twilight will do in the end. But it sounds like the original idea for "Bitterness" with Twilight not getting over what her friends did to her for that long is a bit too much. Black Kyurem once read part of a graphic novel named "Smile", by Raina Telgemeier, and remembers a part when Raina "breaks up" with her old friends, but does not lose touch with them completely. She just doesn't "hang out" with them, or something like that. Remember what Black Kyurem wrote as a proposition for Twilight in "A Canterlot Wedding: Aftermath"? Black Kyurem knows that if Twilight in your fanfic "Bitterness" would stop hanging out with her friends, yet stay in touch with them from time to time would not sound original (of course it was based on a true story), but yet to Black Kyurem, it seems to be the most morale solution. But what you do will be your choice, seeing as it is an alternate universe after all. To be honest, in personal opinion, Black Kyurem suggests that if you yourself think that Twilight's friends or Twilight herself would be too cruel either way, try a third option, like what Twilight could have chosen in my fanfic. Does this all make sense?
If it were me... I would have Cadance 'talk' to Shining about what he did to Twilight at the rehearsal, have her friends try to apologies by giving excuses that just seems to fails, Celestia would just seem to prideful to apologize at all and instead tries to 'teach her a lesson'... but ultimately realizes that she needs to apologize... Spike will apologize correctly and gain her forgiveness and with the help of her parents she begins to see that everypony DOES feel bad for betraying her and that she should give them one more shot, with the others learning from Cadance (the mare who foal-sit Twilight) that she is more sensitvie than what they believed her to be, and after their lecture from the princess of love, they change and they ACTUALLY learn a lesson that sticks to them etc... the near ending could be where Twilight cries cause she is afraid that even though she worked so hard to gain something so wonderful as friendship, even with one stupid action it is lost forever with the others apologizing (in tears) for ever making her feel that way... ending could be where CELESTIA and FRIENDS write a friendship report to Twilight and she does too... ending with her looking out the window of the library and going to sleep, awaiting for the joys of tomorrow
i hate saying this again but i could see twilight Run away from her problems. Then the others postponing the wedding to find her . I think that the lession would be that eveyone makes mistakes but can learn from them.
I actually would have liked the first idea with Twilight and her child, the drama of how that hate get passed down to a child and how Twilight may have openly abused him/her in front of the others and ultimately her loss and regret. The way I see her handling it is the way of Roy Harper handling the loss of his daughter by lashing out at those she sees responsible.
Twilight: (attacking Shining Armor) Why do you get everything and I have nothing!?
