My new story that I totally didn't tell you guys about is up! You can read it here.
It's about Davenport.
This story is partially inspired by two fantastic movies: Clerks, directed by Kevin Smith.
And Trainspotting, directed by Danny Boyle.
A little background: I had this idea for a story about an aimless pony working at a dead-end job who attempts to change his life, but I couldn't think of which pony to use. Then, while watching the Third Fimfiction.net Online Panel, found here, one of the participants said something about doing what SS&E did with Background Pony, where some author should take one of the background ponies and give them a personality, flesh them out a little.
So I did. I don't really know what genre to call it because it's a story about a life, and life is full of all different kinds of genres. Sometimes it's dramatic, or funny, or sincere, or exciting, or depressing, and I imagine that this story is going to be all of those things at some point.
