Put on your life vest; we're going down with the ship! · 4:16pm Jan 19th, 2013
Having just watched "Keep Calm and Flutter On" with Random and her hubby, I have to say I am rather disappoint.
It was...cute, but kind of rushed. While I was making the breakfast I bribed Random with in exchange for coming to watch on her big TV, I commented to her that I didn't know how they were going to do it in one episode and yeah, I was right in that regard. It probably should have been spaced out into two episodes to allow for a more natural progression of things.
I found it to be kind of predictable; I kind of figured out what was going to happen from the very beginning. That wasn't the part that disappointed.
What I was disappointed about -predictably- was the...lack of Pinkie being enthusiastic for the crazy. I wish she'd played more of an important role in the episode; I would have liked to see her more willing to help Fluttershy -- It's, ya know, been established that she wants to be friends with everypony. I think it would have been really cute to see Pinkie kind of...encouraging the random stuff Discord was doing -because she was totally into the balloons and cotton candy and stuff in his first episodes- while Fluttershy was trying to discourage that kind of behavior.
In any case, no matter what kind of fic crops up, I am totally NOT abandoning ship. I absolutely will not ship Fluttershy with Discord, nor will I change my mind about him and Pinkie. I fly my OTP flags proudly, thanks.
La la la la I'm not listening La la la la!!!!
Stupid UK TV!!!

At least I was kind of vague about what happened?
I was just glad to watch it when it aired, on a real TV, rather than on youtube in four hours.
727146 And I can't even go on My Little Brony for fear of spoilers!!!

I haven't seen it yet, but I didn't find your description too spoiler-y.
And big TV's are fun, until you have to move them about.

Probably one of the best parts was Discord in a granny bathing cap. And that is totally not a spoiler.
And fortunately, I will never have to move this bigass TV. I just get to watch the occasional geeky thing on it. We're watching Garfield and Friends on Netflix now

I don't know if that's disturbing, or hysterical. Guess I'll find out tonight During Guardroom. (2 hours of just sitting. And waiting. It sucks.)
And I helped my roommate set up his TV in our dorm room. It's only 20in so that ain't too bad.

It was adorkable, like most things Discord does. I find it so hard to believe he's truly evil when he's busy being so freakin' cute
My TV is kinda on the small-ish side (somewhere in the 20-something inchese variety), but it's one of those big, bulky oldish ones. SO GLAD I'm not moving anywhere soon.

Yeah, I had to move 4-5 of those from various people houses in the past 5 years. They suuuck. Flatscreens are a back saver. Unless you are mounting 6 of them to make a video wall. Video walls suck.
Gotta agree that it would've been better as a two-parter. And yeah, why didn't Pinkie throw him a welcome to Ponyville party? Every pony gets a--Well, he's not a pony, but still!
Maybe if he shows up again, they'll give some us some pinkiecord fun?
(Wish I'd been able to watch it on TV, but someone was nice enough to put a recording of a stream up on youtube, so I just put up with the annoying chat window on the side XD)
Still betting they'll eventually have to change Rainbow's 'Dipcord', since that isn't what it sounded like AT ALL.

As much as I like Fluttershy and enjoyed her development in the episode, I REALLY think it would have been better as a Pinkie episode. And NOT just because I ship it.
...I want to be at that party. It'd be hella fun!
And watching it on a real TV? SO WORTH GETTING UP EARLY AND HAVING TO COOK BREAKFAST FOR THREE.
Still haven't watched it. And I will continue to proudly fly the flag for Celestiacord.
