It's only fair to tell my readership (at least, the ones I haven't already driven away with Dostoevsky pastiches and self-indulgent lists of breakfast foods) that the next chapter of Alarm Clock may take a bit longer than the last few have. First of all, I've got some meatspace concerns that will significantly reduce the amount of time I can spare to write this stuff.
Second of all, because I'm going back to revise the chapters I already have. Mostly this is to fix grammar errors for submission to EQD (well, re-submission... I submitted it once back when there were just four chapters and got declined)... although there is one minor scene that I'll have to scrap and rewrite from scratch. Here's a lesson folks: if you want to base something in your fic off a scene from canon, re-watch the episode rather than working from memory. Somehow, my memory of the episode was so bad that no one called me out on my mistake because no one even realized it was supposed to be a reference to an episode.
Way to go.
In any case, expect Alarm Clock: The Director's Cut to be more like ...
... or perhaps ...
... rather than like ...
May the pink party pony's wrath be upon me, should I fail to keep my word.
