I'm done with MLP · 5:57am Jan 18th, 2013
I am not into MLP:FIM as much as I was about a year and a half ago. I just cannot get back into the show anymore, and I plan not to watch anymore episodes after the next episode airs. It has nothing to do with the fandom or the show, I am just burnt out I suppose. This is probably one of the reasons why I cannot write anymore, for lack of motivation. I will try to at least finish Opportunity of a Lifetime, but with the way that it has turned out, (Especially with the last 5 chapters) I am quite unsatisfied, and do not have the desire to try and fix it. I apologize.
Note that I will still be affiliated with some MLP things, such as avatars, certain art tumblrs, and will still defend the show when required. (in an overly calm fashion) I guess I'm just sick of it, and all.
Well, I hope you can find/have found something else to be passionate about.

But yeah, I kinda replaced MLP with a few other cartoons I'd recommend.
Adventure Time - Comedic adventure show which can get surprisingly dark in the later seasons.
Regular Show - How is this PG and shown on Cartoon Network? Many references to what I believe the 80s. Brilliant show, a bit nuts at times.
The Amazing World of Gumball - More 'kiddy' than the other two. Has quite a few tropes, but they are done in a different, and bloody hilarious ways. Very well animated.

723096 Trust me, I know how strangely popular my current fic is. I hate to have put it in Hiatus, but have slowly been in the development of a new fic/experiment. I'm trying to write a Human in Equestria (...) fic, but in the way I see it happening.
That basically means a lot of discrimination, curiosity, and mind games/psychology. It is basically the situation that a beast twice the size of most ponies has basically invaded quite suddenly. If I ever get around to it, I plan to remove all stereotypes, and try to see things from the fearful civ's side, and the human's side. It will be about as realistic as a crappy fanfic about a towering manbeast in Equestria can get. (And will be a blatant self-insert, because I can be a bit... eccentric at times.)
I love how I turned this response into a description of the one future fanfic I'm planning.

723152 Currently in the process of editing the prologue, and the first chapter. I was originally going to make some convoluted back story about humans and time travel, and war, and some weapon I called the Blood of the Martyr or something, but then I asked myself one question.
Why? Why don't I just focus on realism, and survival at any costs etc. I revel at this sort of thing.
Even with the synopsis change, there are still some problems with the fic that I need to consider, but this is a significantly lessened problem now. Also, no forced human/pony shipping, or Mary Sue characters. (Besides alicorns)

Damn man, now I feel bad for being too busy to catch up on your fic. Adventure Time is a great show and I hope you enjoy it as much as you first enjoyed MLP. Never forget, you will be missed...
723162 I don't really mind where you are in the fic. If you got to the later/subjectively better parts of the fic, then I admire your commitment, and hope that you have enjoyed it.
