Just a quick word on TPOS · 10:53pm Feb 28th, 2012
Ok, so I may not be the quickest writer, but I like to take time when writing. A new chapter is nearly finished, and I hope it to be out by the end of the week at the latest. Being a chef, I rarely find the time to write, to please hang in there.
I was talking to a friend about writing and reading, and about how some do it at a different pace and to certain levels. I know there are some really good pieces of work on this sight, with highly descriptive language, striking, vivid imagery etc.. but I find it sometimes to be a little too much, and I end up breaking my interest in the plot and characters. I believe that good English with proper syntax and use of writing techniques, without it being 'too complicated' allows for a better flow of writing, and a more enjoyable read. It is partly why I don't double line between character dialogue, as I can easily get confused over weather its a new paragraph or not, and why I don't out do myself with description or fancy words too much. Don't get me wrong, I love to describe feelings, emotions, surroundings etc.. I just hold back a little so it doesn't distract you. I hope that doesn't sound patronising.
Thank you for reading this, it is keeping me in high spirits and allowing me to be creative which is rare.
Any requests/comments/suggestions/complaints are highly valuable to me, so all are welcome.
