New apartment, new ideas

Just moved from my old place and after an angonizing week of moving, emptying boxes and dealing with my cable company I finally have my internet up again. I have been writing like crazy all that time... just not the Tempest fic... I had a crazy idea for an AU (my favorite genre after Crossovers). It was inspired well i was reading through fics before the move, having stumbled across a few with interesting premises but weren't exicuted in ways I liked them. So after thinking about it I thought "well how would I do it then," and thus the idea began to flow. I bounced it off my good friend and fellow author Prosopeio and really started to flesh out the changes. Overall we both think this could make for a solid fic so I've been writing it in pieces That I can stich together kater on. I don't want to put any up until i at least have a couple chapters ready so that I can stagger them out at an even pace in stead up what's happened with tempest...

As for tempest I'm pretty close to finishing it I'm just stuck on retelling the Jusenkyo spring incident (ponified of course) and the sparing scence between Scarlet(Akane) and Tempest(Ranma). I HATE rewriting things that have already happened in a shows canon if they haven't changed much. It's a pet peeve of mine that can kill my motivation. As a long time reader and writer of Fanfiction I have read and written this scene SO many times that I'm sick of it... if I could skip it I would but I'm sure theres plenty of MLP fans who aren't super familiar with Ranma 1/2, it's an older series and never aired on tv in the states. Hopefully I'll figure someway past this block soon so I can get into totally new territory... but for now it's on the back burner.
