    Prompts can be fun.

860 words worth of fun, to be precise. Bazaam.

Part of a writing excercise in which I and Crash826 traded prompts. The line that started off this particular block-o-text is in bold. You'll know it when you see it.

Steal These Ideas · 4:15am Jan 11th, 2013

Aegis Shield did it first, you guys.

But don't let that stop you from plagiarizing the bejesus out of these now-public-domain Things From the Mind of Shamus.

Bloodfire
Celestia is still reeling from her defeat at Chrysalis's hands. She was defeated because she held back for the sake of her nearby subjects -- she resolves, therefore to hold back no longer. Changelings found within Equestria's border are incinerated with an artillery-level blast of sunfire, collateral damage be hanged. Her insistence on keeping the spell causing these conflagrations going causes the populace at large to cry "Nightmare". Chrysalis, ousted from the Changeling throne for her own failure, capitalizes on this. She takes on Celestia's form and enter an alliance of convenience with Luna to reassure the populace that Celestia hasn't gone mad. But if Celestia was not a Nightmare before, she is now. Insane with hatred for the changeling race, she's become a walking firestorm bent on erasing the Badlands from existence. Even hopped up on the love of a nation’s worth of subjects, Chrysalis may not be able to face her a second time and survive...

Laws of Succession
Luna was kept in suspended animation on the moon for a thousand years, during which time she didn't age. Celestia, on the other hand, did. She aged, and yes, she died. Several times. A mere two years after Luna’s banishment, Celestia stepped down from the throne and allowed her daughter to assume the name and appearance of "Celestia". Then, years later, that pony was succeeded by her daughter, and so on. Luna and Celestia are ostensibly sisters, but they are, in truth, a grandaunt and grandniece separated by centuries. And, according to tradition, Luna’s time as Luna is up. Which begs the question: Who’s next in line?

Singularity
Billions of years into the future, Celestia wanders the cosmos. She meanders from planet to planet, finding and ruling over the intelligent (or at least sapient) species she finds. But unlike her original form, this future Celestia demands an odd tribute from her subjects in the form of trash and other detritus. She desperately needs to take matter -- any matter -- into herself, for her Sun collapsed into a black hole millennia ago, and its magic follows her, no matter how far she flees. She must sate her hunger, or be driven mad by it. And her madness has consumed more than one world...

In Memoriam Lunae

Nightmare Moon finally breaks free of her prison. She immediately teleports to Equestria, ready to bring her powers to bear, fueled by hatred given a thousand years to mature and age. Only that’s not what happens. She appears to great fanfare and cheers from the populace -- descendants of the ponies whose silent rejection of her spurred her rebellion in the first place. She's told she can have the night last as long as she wishes. It’s her welcome-back party, after all. Slowly, curiously, she is led through this strange world that seems oh so overjoyed to have her back. All she wants to know at this point is where Celestia is hiding, and what she’s planning. But she will soon learn a much darker secret: the effects centuries of guilt can have on somepony, as well as what lengths her sister will go to, given a chance to make things right.

Phew. Four ideas that I'm no longer obligated to devote my free time to. Now I can get back to writing this:

Do you have something against Celestia? Because all of these stories seem to reflect something of that nature, given how they're basically;
1) Celestia goes evil
2) Celestia dies (also Luna's gonna die)
3) Celestia turns into Galactus
4) Celestia goes crazy from guilt.

699486 ...Well damn. I didn't notice that.

Celestia is an interesting character, to be sure, and probably my favorite to write. I've got plenty of story ideas, these four just happen to screw ol' Celly over in some manner. My bad.

699497

*shrugs* Well maybe you could post a few that star her in a positve role or something then? Unless you're planning to hog all of those for yourself XD

699517 The one where Celestia and Luna swap places with Apple Bloom and Pinkie Pie respectively is MINE.

699520

...Dude, that I have to read. XD HURRY UP WITH IT THEN!
