I still have a problem, and now I'm getting pissed. · 10:29am Jan 7th, 2013
I can't follow anyone. I press the follow button, nothing happens. Had this problem now for nearly seven hours. I tried;
Refreshing: Did not work.
Logging out and back in. Did not work.
Using different browsers. Did not work.
Restarting computer. Did not work.
Asking Knighty for help. He's been offline since before it started.
Resetting router. Did not work.
Waiting. Did not work.
Using a proxy server. Wouldn't let me log in.
Please help.
Because while before I was just following as many people as possible, I now want to follow an author whose work I like.

Welcome, honestly the same thing happened to me earlier.
Tried basically everything you did, (I never messaged Knighty.) with the same results.
Ultimately though it started working for me like... Awhile later, is all I can really suggest. Just keep the name in mind and wait for awhile... Longer.
Since I know you already triiied waiting.
Question: Do you have an Adblocker or Javascript enabled, etc?

I have Adblock Plus (on Firefox), but it has never caused a problem before. I'll try disabling it.

It wouldn't affect anything; I tried Internet Explorer which has no addons at all. I do, emoticons and something that shows pictures in comments by default.

So, how does it look for you? Does the follow button just not do anything, or does it go into the loading animation, then reset back into 'Follow'?

The latter. Before it stopped working altogether, if I hadn't pressed the watch button, it'd work straight away, but if I pressed follow on another one straight away (as in the nest fifteen seconds) it wouldn't work straight away (until around ten to fifteen seconds after I pressed the last watch). But it was consistent. Now it doesn't do anything.
