In The God Squad we have already learned alot about Celestia and Luna's crazy family. In order to help everyone remember who is who, I decided to make an easy cheat sheet! Enjoy!
The Creator (aka Tau Sunflare, aka She Who Steps on Mountains aka many, many other titles)
Power: Creation
The Creator, aka Mom for all the deities, is the being that shaped all beings into existence. She is also pretty crazy and has a bad habit of abandoning her babies and going to do other things (work on her tan, take a cruise, create Super Best Friends Forever...)
Discord
Power: Chaos
The Creator's first attempt at creating a fellow god (she had already made mortals). Discord is hated by all his family, but especially by Celestia, Luna, Tydal and the Zsar of Reinssia. Tydal, Fuzzy Thinker and The Lady have disowned him from the family.
The Lady of Zebrica (real name currently not revealed)
Power: Earth
Domain: Zebrica
Goddess of the Zebras, The Lady is considered the eldest Grand Trinity. However, her methods of training and teaching her subjects... leaves alot to be desired (she learned from her mother, after all!) and she tends to sleep around... alot. She has many daughter and sons, including Lady Zecora.
Fuzzy Thinker (aka The Great Griffin)
Power: Sky
Domain: Griffland
Ruler of the griffins, Fuzzy is very wise but tends to be a bit scatterbrained and gets confused easily. He has many chicks and grand chicks, including a rebellious granddaughter named Gilded Beauty. Second part of the Grand Trinity.
Tydal (aka The Lord of the Mareatine, aka Darkwater Abyss, aka The Teacher, aka Equestria's most wanted mass murderer)
Power: Water (especially the sea)
Domain: The Mareatine
Ruler of the capricorns, Tydal is the youngest of the Grand Trinity. The warrior king, Tydal kills first and askes questions later. He is considered the most responsible of the gods (now ain't that scary!) because he actually got married and had kids the proper way. Tydal is married to Queen Merida, a human who was turned into a capricorn goddess, and they have two kids: Princesses Coral and Misty. Tydal also raised his sisters Celestia and Luna and had a hand in helping his other siblings when his mother wandered off.
The Zsar of Reinssa (real name currently unknown)
Power: Ice
Doman: Reinssa
While this god prefers to ignore most of his family, he is friendly with Tydal and he and his brother use to wage wars against one another for fun.
Princess Celestia
Power: Sun
Domain: Equestira
You should really know all about her!
Princess Luna
Power: Moon
Domain: Equestria
Again...
Princess Cadence (aka Mi Adora, aka Beyonce Kickass)
Power: Love
Domain: Equestria
She is not from the Crystal Empire... get that through your heads. She was Celestia's replacement goldfish for Luna
Shining Armor
Power: None (for now)
Cadence's husband, Tydal has already stated he will seek to have Shining elevated to godhood.
Twilight Sparkle
Power: None (for now)
Rumored to be the lost daughter of Nightmare Moon and Discord, Twilight was trained by Celestia. Both her and her brother have mastered the lost art of Ponyta.
King Sombra
Power: Uh...
Sombra is Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Tydal's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate... which makes him absolutely nothing to the deities. He has a thing for security systems

Discord has stated that this being is his father. The truth of that is hard to tell.

Sombra is such a sore subject for me because, with more time and effort he could have been a really interesting villain. They could have really made him intelligent and daring (I would have gotten Alan Rickman to voice him and made him a Hans Gruber type) who always had a thousand plans and it is only because of a wild card (Spike) that he lost... a pity

What about Saddle Arabia?, do they have a relative in the pantheon?
If Twilight and Shining Armor had mastered the art of Ponyta, they would temporarily become Earth ponies, seeing as Ponyta has no horn (yet it can be bred to know Horn Drill). Rapidash is the one with the horn.

Random fact: That description of Sombra could apply to Celestia/Luna/Tydal's roommate. And since they lived together when he was helping to raise them, it could mean that Sombra is actually Tydal wearing a black costume and muttering threateningly.

To be honest I think this cheat sheet confused me even more, and at the same time explains so many things.
How the fuck does that happen? Only Detective Holmes would be able to solve this case...
Anyway going away from that tangent I will assume we will be meeting the other deities as you continue the story and also perhaps explain why Chrysalis isn't on the list. I'm sure there's a good reason, one that you've probably already explained but since it was 1000 years since I last read anything from the God Squad I am left clueless and awaiting further enlightenment. If you haven't well then the first sentence of this paragraph.
Also Sombra's super power is crystal creation and finding the fabulosity in grunting all the time...

Yeah, Sombra wasn't a villain, he was a time limit. To be fair though, the crystal empire episodes weren't about him, but about Twilight.
