Late 'Derpy' Theory/artist requests · 12:53pm Dec 31st, 2012
I know this is really late, and I wish I would of thought of this a lot sooner. Although chances are that somebody else already thought of this. But I think I know why people thought Derpy was offensive:it's because she was fan-made! Think about it;
Ed (Ed,Edd, n Eddy), Billy (The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), Spongebob and Patrick (Spongebob Squarepants) are all in the same class, yet nobody ever takes offense to them. It is because that was how they were DESIGNED! Derpy was created after an artist glitch.
That is why Hasbro had to change Derpy (well that and the demanded appology) Derpy was basically created via viewers, so she never fully belonged to Hasbro in the first place.
That asside, I would also like to point out that along with cover art, I will also be taking any suggestions outside of MLP art. I want to get a wide spread profolio ready for the next convention I go to. And unless I somehow go to Bronycon, I am going to need more then just MLP art. (MLP crossovers are alright though XD I will also take cover requestions though)
