Life is a Highway (of slow progress) · 3:18am May 18th

So, good news: progress is, well, progressing. Were it not for one of my traditional "throw the entire chapter out because it doesn't feel right" rewrites, I'd probably have dropped an update a week or two ago. It's coming!
The bad news: it's slow going.
The worse news: it's gonna get even slower over the next few months, thanks in no small part to me moving clear across the country, one province short of going straight from coast to coast. So that's been devouring all of my time as of late. That, and the 5,000 or so kilometre drive that's ahead of me. Or about 3,100 miles for those who cleave to freedom units.
No guarantees on when swift progress - or any progress, really - will resume, but I'll tell you what: I want it to be soon, too.

From Ontario?
If so, stay away from Alberta, it's a trap! (Assuming it's what you're referring to)
I live here and the power bill alone is insane, 28cents a kwh.

As for the story, that's fine, life happens.

no rush big dawg, we're in for the long haul  hope the move goes well!

Okay, that's exactly what I was afraid of. Good luck to you.

From Ontario?

I fucking wish, lol. From Nova Scotia, straight outta Halifax and to Calgary. Which figures out to about 4-5 days of driving.

Lmao, that's barely worse than NS Power's 19-23c/kwh. And that's before the 15% HST on it and every other cost! Don't get me started on the real estate either.

I've waited literal years for some of my favorite stories to update, I can wait a bit longer. Gives me an excuse to reread Rider on the Storm in the meantime.

Best of luck with the move!

Huh....I thought you were somewhere in Ontario because of those forest fires you were telling me about earlier. That's pretty far but not as far as say...Newfoundland. Why are you moving there btw? Better job opportunities or are you sick of forest fires?
