I suffered through TEN MINUTES of that 'character creation' video, and BAILED.
HARD.
The doctors Dunning and Krueger absolutely nailed it...some people are simply too stupid to know they're stupid.
ouch, that reminded me of a fan-story i read, based on one the most "grimdark" stories ever written:

i read just the first chapter of the original, and that was MORE than enough.
also, that fan-story summarised most of the original, and DAMN, it is grim.

I should clarify that I left because I saw in the server directory the usernames of several people who presumably and/or definitely don't want me around. It was a mistake for me to have joined in the first place, but curiosity got the best of me. My apologies for taking up your time. I removed myself so as to not cause any drama—there's no reason for me to stay if my presence would end up hurting others.

I appreciate the signal boost. I'm always a little surprised when these things get signal boosted, still.
And to be fair, I'm going to be sharing something I like with these watch parties, so it's not really "agony" in my case. Rimworld is just very... chaotic. The comparison of it to Dwarf Fortress isn't inaccurate. Which I understand may not be as popular as the self-inflicted FATAL torture, but so it goes.
