Name Change and New Non-Pony Story (Genshin!) · 4:08pm May 12th
Hello everyone! It's time for my traditional "poke my head out of the ground and update everyone" thing!
First off, I have changed my name here from GMBlackjack to GMSeskii. There's a few reasons for this, the primary one being that I don't exactly want to be associated with Blackjack for eternity. (Have actually had to answer 'why is your name Blackjack' irl a few times.) Secondarily, it makes my name more original, after all Seskii is one of MY characters, so I'm no longer tied to anything. Also it matches my real life initials, full on GMS instead of just GM. Yay!
Anyway just posting so nobody gets confused. But people will no doubt get confused anyway.
I'm still writing, Wizard Space Program is going strong and Fortune's Fate still updates. I've also just started a new story that's *GASP* a fanfic! If you've been itching for my usual brand of silly and epic, you should come drop by. It's a Genshin Impact story, but hopefully it can be read without context. Tales from Teyvat Space! I've described it as "an abridged series for Genshin Impact that doesn't exist, but also in space, and with far too much lore." Hope to see you there! We have minor audience participation in the form of everyone choosing which character to feature next.
As for my future in writing, I'm still not going to be writing any more megacrossovers, and I'm more invested in my original fiction than here. But MLP is known to be on board with fan works, there's nothing in my creed stopping me from writing more here one day. But as of now I still have no stories planned, so don't exactly get your hopes up. But I'm not dead!
Also for irl stuff, I'm in the middle of my studies for my Physics Ph.D. with a focus in Planetary Science (Astrophysics). 2-3 more years of this and then I'll get the shiny piece of paper. Yay!

Heh. I’ve actually known about you longer than that other Blackjack, who you introduced me to back in the Evermore Recursions. I recently started listening to her story, because it crossed over with Chronicles, because it crossed over with the League, because it crossed over with Songs, because it crossed over with Amber Ashes. Am I missing anything? Oh yeah, because it crossed over with FiM, because it was a successor to My Little Pony and Friends. I liked that show growing up, but I had no idea how much it would lead into. The ponies have reached their way into every corner of my life.
Wizard Space Program is still on my read later list. As it has been for over a year. Staring at me. One of these days I have to finish up my ‘Priority two’ list, right? 100 stories isn’t that many, is it? (Honestly Fortune’s Fate probably is too, I just have a note telling me to check your works on that site, and I remember WSP better.)
Anyway, best of luck on getting that shiny paper. I got one of my own this last Winter. (We’re totally gonna pretend it’s on the same level as a P.H.D., and it totally wasn’t an afternoon course. I am now officially licensed to learn how to drive forklifts. Yay...

Considering my prior exposure to your brand of silly and epic and stories that operate without full context, I think I'd definitely be willing to check this out later. I at least know a little bit about Genshin Impact going in here.
As for me, my life's been a bit...chaotic...as of late over the past couple months. Horsewords have had to take a back seat for a bit but rest assured, I still want to and plan on getting back to reading and commenting on and finishing SoTS once things start to settle down again. Thankfully it seems like stuff's trending towards that direction.🤞
