The Future of "Deos ex Caellis" · 10:52am May 12th
Hello again. I think it's time for me to talk a bit about my presence here on FimFiction once more, mostly from the side of actual content-creation activity. It's been a while since I last touched upon this subject in my blogs, I think.
So... maybe for the first time ever on this account, I'm going to be frank and not sugarcoat things... as much as I could. I might also point some fingers, but hopefully without name-calling. Which means the fingers will be pointed at unspecified parts of some abyss, essentially, but oh well.

So... maybe someone managed to spot that Deos ex Caellis' status has been set to "On Hiatus" again, a while ago actually. That's because my plans for the continuation of the tale have sort of fallen apart, or at least it seems like they might've. Let me explain.
I... have mostly lost motivation for writing that particular story. Now, this is something that happens to me semi-regularly, and the excitement might very well yet come back at some later point, but it's not there for now. So, well, I decided to commission a continuation from a rather well-known author here on the site. Obviously, I won't say who it was, because I like to believe I'm not that type of person, but I have sadly become rather disillusioned with their services since then... as well as with my own approach to dealing with services in general, even from the client side.
Long story short, I subscribed to their Patreon, to a rather expensive tier that guaranteed me a story update. After a month, nothing came besides sparse contact at the very beginning. After two months, there was still nothing. I messaged them a couple times in the meantime, and despite some productive preliminary discussion, it all still ended up amounting to nothing in the end.
Approximately one month ago, I finally cancelled my Patreon subscription due to a changing financial situation. Still nothing to this day. I'm really not sure what's going on, and I don't want to say I've been scammed because the author in question is a rather reputable personality here. And on the other hand, well, I probably haven't contacted them nearly as often as I should've; it must be easy to forget about some commissions when one has to work on so many. But the fact remains, the story is still on standstill.
I have a backup plan, and a person I truly trust who also does writing commissions. I may purchase one from them instead. But for now, well, Deos ex Caellis remains on hiatus.
I have been posting on my lore group though, in case anyone would be interested in that. That is something that I don't think will go away any time soon.

Sorry to hear the author did that. There are many more that we be glad to help. I hope things get better soon and the new author works out better.

Yeah, we'll see how it works out. I'm taking some steps to assure the story doesn't get completely left in the dust to die, but the whole process may be slow.
