Get this off my chest... · 7:33am April 6th
So my treatment of the girls (Starlight, Sunset, and Twilight) has been questioned a few times in this story. I'm not really certain why but I want to say this here and get it off my chest.
My first story The End is not the End was a vehicle for Celestia and Luna. As they are my favorites I wanted to give them recognition. Blooming Days is Sunset, Starlight, and Twilight's story.
While they are not my favorite characters, (Starlight is arguable) they are top five. I love them. I LOVE them. This story is to bring a different version of them and make them interesting in a different way.
My main intention with Blooming Days is to give them a complete and likable arc. It's going to take the full story for this to happen. I know I can't do that in just a few chapters. I set up things for the long term.
If that's not your thing, that's cool. If you're here and reading, I really appreciate that. I think I'm best at liong term storytelling so I think your time will be well spent.
Anyways, I hope the rides been fun so far. The Crystal Empire arc is nearing its end and I have 3 more arcs planned out. Hope you'll stay for the duration. Thanks everyone!

If nothing goes awry there'll be 3. I have a definite route and everything planned out, but things happen so we'll see. Originally the story was going to be much shorter. I'd outlined about 26 chapters and the last 3 were going to be choose your own ending deals with each pair getting one

However, as soon as I got deeper into these characters I started having a lot more fun than I expected. Their trauma has been expanded upon tenfold and seeing each unfold ever so slowly is going to be fun. Seeing them overcome that trauma is going to be even better. (For me, at least.)
Not gonna lie, I was one of those who questioned the peesonality of said characters but in the end it is not how out of chatacter they are but how does moving a chair affects their lives, after all the entier deal of them is how they deal with trouble and overcome the situation together. And I understood that this isn't me complaining about how different these ponies are from canon but more like how they would be if their lives were different and I am eager to enjoy every chapter.
Also reading how Sunset is gushing about every single female is top tier entertainment.

I'm glad you understand. I wanted something different with this story, not the traditional canon girls.
Sunset is so much fun to write. I think she's gonna be amazing be the conclusion.
