Back from Dundracon + what a thing to do! · 4:21am Feb 23rd, 2012
Hey All,
Dundracon was great fun and relaxation. I don't wanna get too much into the nerd stuff, so I'll just say that Werewolves of Miller's Hollow is perhaps one of the best games ever. Of all time.
That being said, it's about time I came clean with y'all: six days ago, I submitted my humble little story here up for posting on EQD.
Good news was, they liked it: the pre-reader said there were some issues with the POV and some surface errors, but that it was otherwise quite intriguing.
Bad news was, due to The Last Roundup and the subsequent creation of a canon Derpy, I should rename Ditzy to Derpy and restructure her dialogue.
While I agreed that it was not necessarily a large change to the plot, I felt it was a significant change to the character I couldn't bring myself to make.
Believe me that going up on EQD would be like a dream come true, but I must stay true to what I've written. As I stated, I do strive to be cannon (or at least close enough for argument), and will consider shifting future parts to do so, but not at the expense of the already written and established parts of the story.
God, y'all please tell me this was the right thing to do.
I think you did the right thing, I've always like Ditzy over Derpy anyway. The way I see it, Derpy is a hurtful nickname given to her. Can't wait for the next update!
