    About the Past Three Months...

Hey all. It's been a while since I... was. Let's talk about that.

So, where have I been the past three months? Why haven't I posted anything? Why am I replying to comments on The False Goddess months after they were posted!?

The Short Answer: Life(tm). If you don't want to hear me talk about burnout and schedule mutilation, you can stop reading now. Have a good one!

An Apology to the Huragok Fans

    Hey everyone.

If you've been following "A Huragok in Equestria" you might've noticed there was an update today, yet when you went to read it, there were no new chapters.

Long story short, I wrote a part I'm not happy with.

Update in Regards to The False Goddess

    Hello, everyone; Zoura here.

I'd like to thank you all for the insanely positive response on The False Goddess. It incorporates a lot of self-made lore/theory I'm quite fond of (lore I have in other projects that I've since discarded) and I'm glad other folks are liking it as much as I am. I've also enjoyed interacting with commenters, so by all means don't be shy.

About the Past Three Months... · 8:49am March 9th

The Long Answer:

First problem: My work schedule got super busy. During December and January we were busy and I ended up getting a crapload of extra hours that just drained my energy and reduced my ability to write as much. Hooray for money, less hooray for not knowing what my index fingers are for 5 days out of the week.

Second problem: Burnout. Like, really burnout. "I was writing 2000-4000 words a day without giving myself breaks and forgetting to have a sleep schedule burnout." The False Goddess was the prime specimen in that situation, but me starting other projects (several of which I've never posted) at the same time pretty much completely gutted my writing time, and by the turn of December I pretty much wanted to do anything but stare at a google doc that had load times measured in multiple real seconds.

Third Problem: I just... Started talking to people more? Like, just spending time enjoying the company of others, both online and in-person. I'm a very "focus-sensitive" writer; I need as few distractions as possible. So having people willingly talk to me, while great for me, kind of hampered my writing schedule. I just kinda... Stopped checking FIMFiction for a while. I apologize to the people who got reply notifications on a story they forgot about.

Aftermath

So, it seems like I'm tentatively back. I might try to polish some smaller projects (and maybe actually post something I teased back in freakin' October). Thanks for all the support on my stories while I was gone; and hello to all the new followers I seem to have accumulated. I'm sorry if you joined during the drought; I know I'd probably be disappointed in your shoes.

Thanks for reading, all. Take care out there.
