What a game last night. · 3:31pm February 12th
Spent the evening watching Super Bowl LVIII on a whim.
Glad I did. Amazing knuckle-biter of a game, and then for a few hours afterward I got to scroll through Twitter to see all the sad-sacks who were screaming that the NFL is rigged and scripted.
Most of the commercials were good too. As were the reveal trailers; and my favorite one was something I've been looking forward to for over a year:
The first one was one of the biggest summer blockbusters of my childhood, and I never got the chance to see it in theaters.
With none of the surviving cast members reportedly returning as of now, the filmmakers have said this is less of a sequel and more of a soft reboot with more modernized stormchasing techniques (such as anchoring your intercept vehicle to the ground with boring drills).
If there's awesomely cheesy dialogue and over-the-top special effects, I'm all for it.
Wonder if they got Mark Mancina for the music again.
I saw it at the drive in, the one here used to have themed nights. I can't remember what else was playing but we used to go in the fall for the dusk to dawn marathons, 4 or 5 movies... I don't have a car or I'd probably still go to them, especially since I work nights.
Glad you enjoyed it. We're not much into sports so we watched "The Marvels" (why did that movie do so badly, we all enjoyed it a lot) and "John Wick 3".
I really hope they do justice with "Twisters". I loved the first one. Picks up quick and doesn't slow down til the end. Great ride.
Hopefully they'll do justice with the sequel and make a movie that will blow us all away.
It seems like everything is being infected by conspiracy theories.
