I Released a Game - Pony Tentacle Hunt · 12:06am February 7th
Hey everyone!
I've been getting into gamedev over the last few months and have been able to make a short little game here to play on Itch. It's free and playable in the browser if you want to give it a try.
It's a top-down game where you play as some tentacles and go around harvesting 'drops' from ponies they capture... who, if there are any resemblances are purely coincidental. Use the 'drops' to become stronger, and see how long you can survive.
It's crazy how much goes into making even a shorter game like this! Decided to make it in Godot instead of Unity after last summer's events, so that was fun learning too. While I probably won't be adding more onto this, hope you do enjoy it!

This game is good and fun, probably mostly because of how cool and handsome some of the play-testers were.

Oh, wow! That would be! It was only designed with keyboard and mouse in mind, so the other inputs might not be the easiest to do. I'll keep that in mind for the future though!
Not bad for your first game! - there seems to be a bug where the color of the pone after capture is different than its original color though.
Yeah game dev is really hard coding work mostly. Except for play-testing maybe.

Thanks! But the ponies colour coming out different is intended to randomly drop one of the three types, not keeping track of what type entered. I like to think of it as there being more ponies in there and it's only releasing some at a time.
Bummer it's not playable on mobile.
