Why does my story keep getting dislikes? · 4:14pm January 24th
No seriously, tell me why? My crackfic ("Most Unique Story [probably]") has a more positive like/dislike ratio than the story I actually care about ("TFTFE")!!!
I do have at least one theory as to why people are disliking my story without leaving any feedback:
I found out through one of the groups I'm in that there are some people here that didn't like "Sofia the First" as a show, so it's completely possible for me to believe people are disliking the story without reading it because they see it's associated with Sofia the First and thus must be a bad story. If that is the case, I will be including a disclaimer in my long description explaining that my story and the show will differ as greatly as they can without destroying the very canon that makes the episodes/seasons possible. So aspects of character development, some plot, even how the characters interact will be as different while still on brand as I can make it.
If you just did not like Sofia, adult me can actually agree to an extent. 1) I find it hard to believe that Sofia wasn't just mispronouncing Cedric's name on purpose, but then again, I can also blame the writers for failing to depict childlike behavior believably. That is my goal in my story. Any areas of issue/problem that I think should be fixed to "make the show better" will be done and you can even vote on polls on my Discord server for ideas on stories, how the plot advances, etc (link on my page).
Now, if anyone disliked my story because they truly believed it was bad and disliked it (for reasons related to the writing style or plot advancement etc. Not because of a bias against the crossover show), I deserve to know WHY you didn't like it and what I can do to fix it. I'll gladly make any edits or changes, even rewrite episodes, if you tell me what you believe needs fixing or improvement. I don't know what I don't know. As an author, I'm a little biased to like my story and how I've written it. I do notice at times my writing can be choppy and I'm working on having fewer walls of dialogue, but anything else you guys notice (like dislike or otherwise) I need to know!
Synopsis:
1) If you dislike the story because you dislike the show or any other reason I can't exactly change (like the very premise of the entire story), reconsider or just don't react to my story, please and thank you.
2) If you dislike my story for reasons I can fix (structure, plot, development, grammar/spelling, etc.) then let me know and I'll gladly go over my story and make the needed to changes to make it the best story I can give you!
I want to write for the enjoyment of myself and others, so if there's something stopping that enjoyment of reading, I need to know 
Feel free to comment on my story and on each of the chapters with your notes of what you liked and what you disliked. I'll gladly fix or explain (in the case of confusion) anything needed to make a great story! Please enjoy reading my stories and have a great day!
I feel bad for not having read it yet but it's in my read later (I think) and I'll get to it SIE comes first and side note: the chapter in the works now is going to be changed slightly and dedicated to my mom who passed away on Christmas eve of 2023.
