Splitting Up Seekers

With the BC arc of Seekers of the Epitaph complete, I am once again considering splitting the remaining arcs into multiple installments. Starting from Wrath of the Lich King onward, the main antagonists are going to start finding the Epitaph Fragments.

Some of you may be wondering what the Epitaph Fragments are. I pretty much set them up in this series to be like Sonic's Chaos Emeralds or MLP's Elements of Harmony or Marvel's Infinity Stones, etc. In this case, the Epitaph Fragments are a reference to an anime/game series called .hack or dot hack.

Each of the fragments represent the 8 phases of Morganna that existed in the Epitaph of Twilight. When Morganna malfunctioned, the singular AI split herself into 8 parts, each with their own name (Either look them up or wait until I reveal them in the story). In the Epitaph, which is really more of a poem, the 8 phases are known collectively as the Cursed Wave, a malevolent force that seeks to destroy the world.

Now you know what Crystal Silicon and the others are after. In the games, the phases put an immense strain on the virtual world the games were based in. It also put a strain on the global network and threatened to destroy the internet, which would leave untold volumes of knowledge and data lost and give humanity a major setback, not to mention the machinery that relies on such data to function properly.

You might be wondering why 2 arcs have gone by and not a sign of the Epitaph Fragments have been found, that will change with the 3rd arc. I have 7 specific raid bosses over the 8 remaining arcs who hold or will hold the fragments planned for this story (The last one being a finale arc).

Hopefully this will have cleared up some confusion as to where the story is headed. Meanwhile, I might consider renaming my story to reflect the change in direction if I really am going through with it.
