And So Electro Swing Draws to a Close · 3:23am Dec 12th, 2023

Wow... I can't believe it. A story that's been in my mind since 2015 is done... sorta. I need to do a full editing pass as well as ask you guys the question of physical publication.

First off, I want to thank everyone who put in the heavy lifting in this work.

  • Thank you, TheAncientPolitzanian. Without your editing eye, this work would be not be the same. You are a legend in my book and I am so glad to have taken this journey with you at my side.
  • Thank you to both of my prereaders, Alchemik and Jymbroni. You guys did some very heavy lifting checking the story and keeping me on track. I look forward to seeing what you create Alchemik, be it writing or otherwise. Jym. I want you to know that I think you've shown incredible growth in your own writing sense. I hated that you wouldn't let me just get a chapter out at times, but the result wouldn't be the same. You've taken "Writing is a skill tempered with care and fire" to heart, and I couldn't be more proud.
  • And finally, ShutterflyYay. You were there before I gave up writing in 2015~2016. Thank you for your help early on and your continued readership.

If you haven't read this story yet and were waiting for it to be done with, you can dive right in! Or... maybe wait until after the holidays. Right now, I am going to do a full edit from digital cover to digital cover. It is complete and fully readable, but I will be going through it one last time to clean up the wording and fix any continuity errors. There are many little nitpicks everywhere that I needed to finish the book before I could address fully as well as some decisions I made that were written with the idea that this was going to be 20 or so chapters long. Ha! How naive I was!

423K words... Dassa lotta words

I've already rewritten Chapter 1. I actually updated it last night. I am keeping all the original chapters as they were posted originally just in case I mess something up, but trust me on this one, the rewrites will be better. I didn't have a Story Bible written out until chapter 18, and it shows in the early chapters. I want to fix all I can before looking into releasing this physically. Which I should ask now.

If I were to go through the effort of figuring out how to make a physical copy of this, would you buy it?

I honestly have no idea how to go about doing it. I'll probably poke a few authors that have released to see what I can do about it if there's enough interest. Once I get the edit done and feel comfortable committing to hard copies, I'll let y'all know. For now, I'll be doing the edits on my end to make it as clean as possible.

Also, don't worry, I'll be sure to make a blog like I've done for all my other big works. I promised to answer a few questions from comments over the years and I plan to do that along with the little Q&A thing I do for all my romance fics.

And finally, thank you. You, whoever is reading this. You who I hope has enjoyed what I've written and whose life was made a little better. I did my best to tell it.

See you in the next blog,
- Rego

P.S. Thank you for reading my crackship.

Thank you for letting me be apart of this amazing story! It was incredible to get a behind the scenes look at how this story shaped out and I couldn’t be happier for its conclusion. Plus, Fleur is the best! 😉

Speaking for myself, I would *absolutely treasure* a physical copy. It feels like it would warrant a hardback, even.

Amazing! Congratulations! I'll be reading the full version soon and share my thoughts! But it's quite an achievement, and honestly one of the best stories in the site. Well done! As for a physical copy, I'd definitely buy one!

Me buy a pony book?

Duuh of course:rainbowwild:

Congratulations with this achievement!

Sadly I can't lend my opinion to the topic at hand, but I'd gladly read the digital version of the book in full, when I have spare time. Cheers!

ask you guys the question of physical publication

More seriously though I definitely would buy it. If you're still reaching out to people I'd hit up RBDash47, if you haven't already, as they are a part of or run Ponyfeather Publishing. Which itself has this handy FAQ of information on physical printings.

Amazing job mate! Def interested in a copy if I can! :raritystarry:

I would buy a copy if you printed one.
