Hyperacusis

I am Autistic/ADHD and go to highschool

So a guy snuck up behind me and yelled “boo!”and I let out a yelp.

Some other people in the class gave me a look (which seems silly considering it was the guy who scared me)
A fellow neurodivergent friend in the class started to tell some of them off, but then another guy goes, “he wasn’t even that loud! What’s your problem?” He asked me

I pulled on my noise canceling headphones and started tapping them because I was failing to pronounce “Hyperacusis” and since I was just stuttering nonsense, the people turned away.

Aprently it is hi-pur-uh-KYOO-sis
