Okay so that's out of the way. You're probably wondering about that title. Well on one end I was watching the original MLP movie the other night with my best guy friend and of course this being my "blessed" time of the month, he wisely came bearing my "please don't murder me" package he brings me every 3 or so months (disclosure: mine aren't regular because of birth control) and sat with me while

My Thoughts on the movie "Five Nights at Freddy's" · 2:52am Oct 28th, 2023

*tries to find a 9/10 clip on YT*......*fails miserably and growls in annoyance*

That'll work I guess.

Okay so spoiler free review: This one gets a 9/10 :yay:s for me. As a long time fan of FNaF, I think we'd all agree this was definitely a movie for the fans! I mean, hell we even got THIS SONG AT THE CREDITS!:

Ya gotta love that THE fan song that's become synonymous with the series has been made official! Way to go TheLivingTombstone!

Anyways I just got back home from watching it and I gotta say, the only reason it didn't get a full 10 for me was the pacing and a few of the jokes fell flat for me. Otherwise I honestly recommend it for a Halloween movie night! Now if you'll excuse me, I must go and see if my PS4 will stop being a jerk and actually LET me play FNaF...I bought it like 3 and a half years ago and recently it's been crashing a bit.

That is all,

What about if you're not a fan of the franchise? Do you think it stands well on its own without prior knowledge of the FNaF games?

And for a bonus question, how many jump scares were there? :trollestia:

To answer the first: It's a decent Halloween movie even with no prior knowledge/fan association. Decent enough horror.

To answer the second: enough to pad the runtime of 1hr 49mins.

Having just seen the movie on 'Peacock', I must say that I found it a griping film. True, I do wish they could've kept the ambiguity on if the animatronics were either malfunctioning or haunted, but that's only a small thing. I have to say, as creepy as it was, it wasn't quite as scary as I thought it would be. I was going in expect the possibility of it being in league with 'The Exorcist' I'm guessing that the reason for that is because the movie sacrificed the factor that made the games frightening, tension and suspense, for actual plot. Regardless of that, it was a very good film and I do hope that there'll be more coming.

I hear they already have plans possibly for adapting the second and third games as well...we will see...
