Okay. Isle of She-Beasts has been a workout, but it’s close to being finished. But time I give these other stories some attentions.
I haven’t been successful of finding enough animators to volunteer, so my animation collab remains incomplete, but still open.

So, I've just recently learned that this Year of the Dragon will be the focus of the "Wood Dragon!" Not to mention Keanu Reeve's year. Yeah! Amazing! Keanu Reeve's a dragon too!
But I've recently learned that while the Year of the Dragon cycle happens every 12 years, a particular element is observed every 60 years!

Well, to be fair, it actually WAS a really good short. And I have a feeling there will be at least minor differences when the Dragons actually appear in Make Your Mark Chapter 6. But I am VERY definitely hoping to see an older and wiser Spike as one of the Dragon elders in Chapter Six.
But I LOVED the teamwork that went into the completion of the trials. ESPECIALLY Misty putting her prior experience with bullying to good use in the second trial AND the entire group - including Sparky - working so well together in the final trial.
Trust me, I ask myself the same question for every show for 20 years.
The inclusion of the Dragons 'this' early, even for a 'Tell Your Tale' short, is questionable at best. We would think that the ponies being introduced to the Dragons would be casually reserved for Make Your Mark's next chapter ever since we first laid sight of some fully-fledged dragons during the fifth chapter and teased about it in a few chapters before. It almost feels as though the events of this short occurred 'after' the MYM chapter that hasn't even been released yet, but then the inconsistency of how they choose to release their episodes has been a real headscratcher at best.
That being said, I did find the short relatively enjoyable. We can see that the dragons do behave 'slightly' like the dragons of G4. The 'tests' the ponies were put through were admittedly entertaining. Did we get to see an adult Spike? No... and frankly I'm not even sure we'll even get a reference. Btu if this is just the start of what we are given to observe the dragon culture of this period, who knows? Maybe there's more to their species we can learn from as more shorts start airing.
