Stainless Steel Fox

A writer of various scribbles, I've recently become enamoured of Ponydom, and have done my limited best to write a few stories. I hope people enjoy them.

    Some extra Luna related content.

As you may notice, I've published a chapter for Luna's Return Trajectory, and it's not the long promised Apollo 13. Before the pitch forks come out, I assure you that the chapter is progressing, to the tune of about 2500 words so far. This is a bridge, exploring more of the effects of Luna's presence. It didn't feel right, jumping 3 months without any fanfare or examination.

The Luna is once again waxing.

So, after some time resting and some more time researching and working on other projects, plus a two week Cristmas break away from my writing computer, I am once again writing Luna's Return Trajectory. Less than a thousand words of the new chapter so far, but I've only been doing it for a few days.

    Returning to Luna's Trajectory

I find myself in something of a quandry. Part 3 of the Magic Inc. story arc has ballooned to 8000 words, and I don't believe I can get it boxed off in less than another 2000. I would normally therefore split the chapter in two, and publish both together to clear the decks for Apollo 13. It's mostly Nixon, even in my head he keeps on asking questions and doing things that add to my word count.

    Luna's Return Trajectory Update

Almost done with the final piece I wanted to do of the next 'newspaper clip' chapter. If anyone has additional news clippings they want to submit, now is the time to do it. PM me with anything you've come up with.

    Luna's Return Trajectory returns

Okay, I don't usually do this, but I think it needs to be said. I have been burned out on writing for a long time. Lots of ideas, not enough drive to move them from my brain to a screen.

However, complicating things is the fact that on Thursday I'm going on a camping holiday with my family, during which I will be incommunicado, or at least, not able to continue working on the next chapter. I will not be back until the following Sunday. I might be able to rush things, but even if I complete it, the last part will be lower quality, as i won't have time to review it.

The question is, do I wait until after the holiday to complete things and post everything then, or do I post the first half now and leave people hanging on the other part?

Wait. Don't sacrifice quality for the convenience of time. We're patient, we can wait. Go have fun with your family, and when you're back you can finish it. Sometimes the story writes itself, and it's best not to get in its way when that happens.

If need more time take it even if you are going to need to delay it due to a vacation. Quality writing takes time and should never be rushed. If you really want to or need to you could also just break the chapter into two parts.

In any case love the story and hope to read more when you finish chapters.

"You CAN'T rush art." 😎 Save it.

Wait on it until after you get back. And on that note, enjoy your camping trip.

Go and enjoy your camping trip, we can wait.

Don't worry about it. We can wait a bit longer.

I'm with Leadless on this one.:rainbowdetermined2:

Clearly the sane thing to do is to cancel the trip and hide yourself away in your room like a hermit, slaving away on a keyboard. Having a life is just holding you back, man.

Post the first half now and take your time with the second.

I agree with this course of action.
family is more important than fanfics.:pinkiehappy:
