Yesterday marked the two year anniversary of Chapter 1 being released! We've still got a few more chapters to go. Hopefully it'll be all wrapped up before the year is out. I know a few folks are wanting to see a bit more Chrysalis and I want a break from drama with another old fic that's been on hiatus for years and years.
It's almost fitting with this new chapter's timeliness. I drafted a version of Chapter 54—with the placeholder name Chapter 99.9—back in October 4th, 2021, two days before Chapter 6 went live, so it feels special. This is one of the largest goals I’ve been aiming for since I came up with the idea for Electro Swing and committed a version of it to a Google Doc a month after I started posting chapters. It took extensive rewrites since some of the payoffs I had planned played out a little differently, but I managed to hit every beat that I wanted after adjusting the chapter, which is just wonderful for me specifically.
What does me hitting my story goals mean for you, the reader? Well, I’m in Japan, so I have time to get the rest of the story out before you try to kill me. Probably…
