How Many Times Does Trixie Actually Say "I"?

One of Trixie's best-known traits in the fandom is that she speaks in the third person all the time. But does she really? Turns out, no one has ever counted the times she says "I." Until now...

Reference/Inspiration List for "Where Black Seas Lap the Shores of Dead Stars"

Rather than litter the author's notes with references in my usual style, I thought I'd try something a little different. So, for the curious, I've made a separate blog post of all the references and allusions you might have missed!

Hat Man Reviews: "Haze" by Bandy!

Haze is a story that is filled with big ideas: Cloud empires. Flying earth ponies. Ancient religions. Superpower-inducing fungi. Unfortunately, much like the mushroom-munching ponies in this story, this story might be biting off more than it can handle…

"Suggest A Story September" Still Soliciting Suggestions! · 12:14am Sep 2nd, 2023

Alliteration is fun! And so are story suggestions! I've got a nice bunch of them that I intend to start working on this weekend, but there's room for more if any of you lovely and creative readers have something you want to see! Keep 'em coming!

The boy's game night gets a new game. BattleMace 50k. They get waaaaaaaaaay into the rollplay.

Also, Flutters is somehow dragged into this and is made to roleplay the Empress.

I am conflicted between requesting more of Turing Test and the stories of the characters in her story or just go completely nuts on some original one shot idea regarding tech.

Or maybe explore some genre/topic you haven't tried yet, as a test.

Turing Test volunteers to help cook for an event?

All right, got a few more suggestions it seems! Let's see:

This is one that, unfortunately, I am going to have to outright pass on. I just don't know anything about Warhammer - except that its lore is pretty extensive - and would be ill-equipped to do a take on it. Really sorry, it's a really good, really funny idea, but I'm just the wrong person to do it justice. :ajsleepy:

Well, I'm working on a mystery story someone suggested, and that's new for me, but otherwise I'm gonna need something more specific plotwise. Though I'm pretty sure y'all are gonna get at least one Turing Test story out of this whole experiment, so I hope that turns out satisfying.

Ah, now that's an idea! Given Turing Test's attempts at cooking earlier, I wonder how it would work out... yeah, there's some potential there!
Also, this immediately reminds me of something else...

Thanks for the suggestions, folks!

A few months after returning to Equestria, Luna discovers a murderer after going into a nightmare involving them getting caught.

Another idea that's been rolling around in my head (hope two's fine) - Celestia is jealous of Cadence after the birth of Flurry Heart because she's an alicorn. Celestia is cursed with the burden of seeing her mortal children grow old and die before her, and their descendants grow distant from her and only invoke Celestia's name for wealth and political power (e.g. Blueblood), so she hasn't had kids in several hundred years to avoid dealing with the grief, instead becoming a mother figure to her students (e.g. Sunset & Twilight). When Flurry Heart is revealed, she's shocked and pissed thinking things along the lines of "what the fuck" (but maybe put in nicer words), "she got it first try????", "what did she do that I didn't" but is hiding this behind her usual 'princess mask' of faux calm, and obviously Cadence notices. She logically knows that she should be happy for Cadence, but it feels comically unfair to her that Cadence won't have to go through what she did, which also makes her feel worse for thinking that way. I like stories that explore Celestia's 'calm and perfect kind leader' for the mask that it is.

Hm, that could be interesting. A bit darker than I usually go, but still...

This one... eh, to be honest, doesn't really jive with me. I kinda just got a bit burned out on "tragic immortal alicorn" stories. Sorry. :twilightsheepish:
