So ‘Haven’ Is Officially Over + The Completion of a Trilogy

Well, guys. Haven is officially over. The last two chapters have been published and I can safely say that the story’s completed. It feels great to actually finish a multi-chaptered story of mine for once, and for my first G4 story in a good while…eh, engagement could have been worse. I definitely feel like it didn’t make as big of a splash with readers as I initially hoped it would. Maybe

    New Chapter!

The newest chapter of Haven, titled IV. Moon Dancer, has officially been published! Feel free to check it out and give feedback on it. Chapter 5 is already fully written as well and will be published by Tuesday. I’m getting back into the daily update routine. Once this story is finished, I can turn my attention back to the upcoming G5 fics. But right now, this story deserves a

My Third Attempt At A Comeback + Why I’m Returning To Fimfiction

Hello, everypony. I know it’s been a couple days since Repressed Memories dropped, but judging by the growing success of it so far, I think my decision has been solidified. I gave it a little bit of time before jumping into anything, and now I’d like to make it official. I am officially returning to writing stories on Fimfiction. This is like my third attempt at a comeback post-Misty Saga

I’ve Created My First Original MLP Songs!! · 5:06am Aug 29th, 2023

Hello, everypony! Yes, I know you all may be flabbergasted right now, but trust me. I’m being completely and totally serious. Remember back in the glory days of this fandom, where fan orchestral pony music was all the rage? Well, as part of our overarching initiative to restore this community, it appears that we’re finally going to be bringing this wonderful and creative aspect back. Today, I managed to create two original songs that will premiere on the main channel on the 22nd of September, just a couple days after the defense video (both parts) drops. I am absolutely in shock that this is a reality right now. And each only took about 2 hours to complete with no sheet music whatsoever. How is this even possible? Let me explain.

So I was checking to see if all of my homework from school was done when I suddenly got bored (because you know, practicing Math is a pain in the flank) and decided to take a little break. I have this app called GarageBand that allows you to make music. So I decided to run some experiments just for funzies and played around with the piano feature a bit. That was when I landed on a melody pattern that I quite liked. So I recorded it, used some other variations of that piano, such as the harmonic choir and stuff, and voila! I mean, look at that! Little ‘ol me, who has no musical training whatsoever, managed to come out with an original song. It’s almost too good to be true!! So I put the different orchestrations together in iMovie, re-arranging and trimming stuff as I saw fit, and out popped a fully-fledged song!! For this first one, I utilized a haunting and mysterious orchestration to create the feeling of the unknown. My cover image has the Mane 5 and Misty uncovering Starlight Glimmer and Maud Pie’s old house inside the gem caves from “Rock Solid Friendship.”

So I decided to appropriately title this track: “Secrets of Starlight,” named after the upcoming finale special in November. Since basically everyone is convinced that Starlight will be appearing in some capacity, I decided to play around with that a bit and have the song tell a story on its own about our favorite ponies uncovering some old G4 locales, one of them being the old Ponyville-adjacent house. You know…since everyone was originally convinced that was going to be the plot of Make Your Mark for some reason? So yeah! That’s the first one. What about the second one?

The second one is titled “The Family We Lost” and I think you all can guess what this one is about. No, it’s not about Sunny missing Argyle, guess again. If you guessed that it’s about that Alphabittle being Misty’s father reveal, then you would be correct!! For this one, I decided to experiment with a more simplistic melody that evokes the feeling of sadness, of tragedy and loss, making you imagine what it was probably like for Alphie to stare at the photo of baby Misty each day and miss his precious daughter. Unlike “Secrets of Starlight,” I don’t utilize a variety of piano modes. Rather we’re toggling between two and it’s mainly the upper black keys that do most of the talking. The main melody is quite simple with four piano beats making up the bulk of the song, while some tragic orchestral chords keep the song going in the background. I think this one is more hummable and memorable than the last one and definitely stands out as the better of the two. So yeah, no sheet music or written notes whatsoever. Just whatever I could make the piano do at any given moment. And it somehow works! That’s the most amazing part out of all of this.

I bet you all are very excited to listen to both of them and judge for yourselves and I don’t blame you. Not to worry though, as I stated above, they’ll be premiering on the 22nd of September in order to capitalize on whatever forward momentum or attention the defense video might’ve given me. I cannot believe this is real either. If y’all are wondering whether I’m going to be making pony music full time going forward, heck yeah! We’re re-introducing fan music back into this community, baby! And they’ll all be G5-centered (well, mostly. I say all unless I have a good reason to make a G4 track, of course. I don’t rule anything out)! I want it to be this sort of event thing every two months where I come out with two new tracks based on whatever from the new or older G5 installments inspires me at any time. I can’t wait for y’all to have fun with listening to these songs as much as I had composing them.

With that being said, I will see you all soon. Bye!! :yay:

Dang, I haven’t heard it yet and I’m impressed.

Both. I’m impressed you were able to compose original scores by yourself without any experience.

I have no chance of that what so ever and have to rely on existing songs with tweeted lyrics to fit the scenario

Great job!

Dude, I'm really excited to hear the songs man. Can't wait until they drop!
