I love (hate) being right.
Spent the afternoon downsizing and cleaning my desk setup in my bedroom.
Got everything back together, turned on, and heard a sickly grinding noise coming from the tower.
Pump on the CPU cooler just died, and the PC stayed on just long enough to show me a CPU temp of 98°C.
This is a part I've never replaced before.
Joy.
P.S. Unless my local search for a replacement cooler is successful this afternoon, and I get it installed correctly, obviously all story updates are on hold indefinitely.
