(Very Late) Post-Con Report · 5:35am Aug 26th, 2023

Hey, everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I meant to post this a while ago, but life's been more than a bit hectic lately. (and that was before I was unexpectedly laid off right before EFNW)

But, enough about my issues. Let's talk about EFNW!

I'm sure you've read many blogs from other folks who were there, so I'll just highlight some things I thought were especially cool:
*1800 attendance this year (2nd consecutive year of gains post-covid)
*$36k+ raised for WA Autism Alliance
*Well over half of the inventory at Twilight's Book Nook sold! That's a lot of horsewords!
*and perhaps most importantly, LOTS OF newcomers in this year's Iron Author contest! In fact, iirc, all of the podium finishers were either new to Fimfic entirely, or new to Iron Author

HUGE shout out to RBDash and the entire Book Nook crew for all their hard work! I think everyone agreed it was a smashing success, and it was so gratifying seeing people carrying BookNook totes all over the place during the con. Bravo, everyone!

Overall, another great year in the books. Can't wait to see everyone next year!
