Question of the Week #113

Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week.

So, I've been experimenting around with some ideas, making some interesting ideas for a tabletop rpg (ttrpg) and an old idea came to mind that I figured I might bring up and inquire how it might be simplified.

This old concept being the Seven Deadly Sins (or Vice) alighnment system.

While simular to World of Darknesses take on alighnments, in my opinion mine is fairly different. So instead of having virtues and vices, you pick two of the deadly sins. One that your character embraces and the other one the dispise (or abhor). The one they embrace providing a benefit when they do it, while the one they abhor would provide a detriment when performed.

Now while I had thought about these vices being themed around the seven deadly sins, I can't help but wonder if perhaps it could be simplified and perhaps seven could be reduced to a smaller number.

So, I wish to ask you all:

• What do you think of the alighnment system?
• Can you think of a way to simplify/reduce the number of vices for the system?
