Smalltime Fimfic Author Steals Ideas From Better Ones (Or: Who Wants To Watch Vids With Me?)

    So...

    I have a Discord server.

Some of you know this. Some of you understandably don't, since I don't advertise it anymore. It was my reward to myself, for reaching 100 followers. I put work into it, researching bots and placing in fun and/or useful ones, setting up areas for all kinds of different chat. I thought it would be nice.

    March Blog: Well, February... Happened

I never did put up a February blog, breaking my streak... but given what I did post instead... I think it's understandable.

    Cry For Help

I've been cagey about what's been happening to me.

Part of that is an instinctive wariness of sharing personal info online. And yes, those of you who have worked with me through Paypal are free to note the irony, since y'all know my legal name but... you still get it.

January Blog: Technically It's Still January

So, I mentioned having a bad December?

    January was worse.

I'm going to be brief, because I have a lot of catching up to do, but I have some news.

Teeth Update: One Procedure Down, One To Go · 11:14pm Jun 23rd, 2023

To catch up the new followers: Original blog post, 1st Update, 2nd Update (middle section of the multi-blog)

Today was the day on the tooth extraction, and despite only going with some local anesthetic and laughing gas rather than sedation, and despite the tooth shattering when they tried to yank it out, it went surprisingly well. It all came out to only $252, which is a far cry from the horrendous $3600 that she could have been stuck with if she'd had a less scrupulous oral surgeon who'd gone along with what the dentist said instead of letting her know how unnecessary so much of it was.

That means we'll have more than enough to cover dog costs, barring a sudden unexpected price hike, which is still a possibility. It's never set in stone until the bill is in her hands, after all. Still, lowering the goal down to reflect the cost of her procedure has it met, with extra, and that's a weight off our collective shoulders. If the good news keeps up, there should be money to cover the arthritis treatments as well and make both dogs a whole lot happier.

We've been watching Youtube videos and playing Core Keeper together (with breaks to swap out the gauze in her mouth) to help her unwind, since the anxiety of going through this procedure has had her wound tight like a spring for days. Tomorrow I should be back to writing again, for what has turned into an accidental Rarity Month.

The response of the community to my call for help was astounding, and I hope to pay it forward may times over in the future once I'm in a bit better of a financial situation myself. Once again, thank you all. For everything.
