...Another batch of headcanons absolutely demolished.
In case it isn't obvious, the following in-progress stories will not take MYM Chapter 4 into account:
Forgotten: Mists of Bridlewood
Forgotten: The Crystal Princess
I'm really hoping I can buckle down and get those finished before Chapter 5 comes out, whenever that will be.
After that, who knows? I've got quite a few theories, some of which may turn into a one-shot or two, but let's see where things go.
Believe me, I know how that feels when your headcanon gets destroyed by show canon.
I know how that feels. However what you have written still works. Your fic simply an AU from the main canon and because your stories are so good, they stand on their own. Feel free to include whatever you want from the official canon and toss aside what you don't like. A fanfic is supposed to be your own take on stuff. With how good some of the writers are on this site, I feel that Hasbro is being dumb to not offer them a job to write at least one script and pay them. If that were to happen, I'd advise anyone to not accept until the writer's strike has been resolved and the writers get the pay they deserve.

Honestly, if that scenario were to laughably become true, I can't say that I'd take that offer.
Regardless of pay, I wouldn't want to stop interacting with fans of the show.
Not to mention that if a lore bible for G4/5 didn't exist, I'd certainly create one, and I'd certainly run the risk of deeper, slightly more mature ideas for plots and episodes getting turned down, or sidelined to the comics. Kids don't get nearly enough credit for understanding the content they watch.
As a fanfic writer, what I say goes. Period.

You got to love how they try to do something very differently from how we think even though some of them were pretty good but either way it leaves a lot of imaginations for anybody try to figure out how this would go and why it happened and aside from some continuity error which I'm not going to say too much because spoilers but I still think it's a pretty good one

That’s fine. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do since there is a few interesting things in Chapter 4 that would be neat to see in your stories like that hidden library with the Alicorn History Book for example.
There’s been rumors that chapter 5 is somewhere between Sep-Dec if not Jan? It’s going to be a long wait
