Sunset comes home to Equestria for the holidays, but her family reunion is short-lived when her mother falls ill. She and Spitfire will have to journey across Equestria to find a cure and make a Hearth's Warming miracle.

    Soon!

I think I've used that blog title three or four times now.

Anyway! New chapter of Spectacular Seven is almost done! I was hoping it would be done this week so I could post it on Saturday, but I need to rewrite a scene. And that's before I edit it! And before Drakey edits it! The good news is...

    Ten Years, Still Here

I think back to my nascent days here, reading stories and typing out my own, hoping for the day where I could call myself a veteran of the fandom. My stories would be remembered and I would stand alongside authors like Pen stroke and Aragon.

And I look where I am now and go, ‘well, you got one big hit. Good enough.’

    Thank You

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe or spread the word for it. It really means a lot. Thanks to your donations and getting a little more on my first paycheck than I thought I would, I should be able to stay afloat again.

My Turn to Ask for Help

    Hello friends.

I'm trying to raise money for me and Amber Spark after we suffered an accident with a U-Haul truck. The link to the GoFundMe page is here.

Let's toast to stories finished, stories ongoing, and stories left slumbering.

So, remember Firebird Dahlia? That story about Sunset and Spitfire being sisters? Real proud of that one, glad it got to finish!

Do you know of Sunset's Isekai? A wonderful anthology of Sunset serving drinks to characters across the multiverse and giving them advice written by the venerable Wanderer D?

Well, last year, Wanderer approached me and asked if I wanted to do a collab chapter for the Isekai. I said I would love to as soon as my writing mojo came back. Well it did! So we did!

... Y'all remember Ice Iris, the sequel to Firebird Dahlia that only has two chapters written?

Sigh. If I had time, I would make sure every story I started got the conclusion it deserves. Well, time and motivation. I love the sisterly dynamic I created between Sunset and Spitfire and would love to expand upon it. But right now, I simply don't have the drive or the time. Spectacular Seven is my top priority.

However, this collab presented me with an opportunity to bring closure to the story of Ice Iris. The central conflict that would have appeared within it is explained and resolved in this new chapter of Sunset's Isekai.

So, if you started reading Ice Iris and want to know sort of how it might have gone, go read chapter Reignition. If you only read the first story and just want to see Spitfire rant to a variant of her baby sister, you should also read on.

This isn't a guarantee that the story will never be finished, but if it's not, then at least there's some closure here.

Maybe I can get Wanderer to do another chapter for Across the Shimmering Sea.

Thank you to Wanderer D for letting me collab with him! It was a lot of fun! I hope you all enjoy it as well!

Later~

I can but hope for more Makers Reject. Certainly won’t object to further high seas adventure though.

Makers Reject is so good!

I'll be sure to check it out.

*cries in Birthrights and Love, the reason I'm following you*

*raises a huge glass of rum and coke* Here's to our stories

I can certainly sympathize. In any case, the collab was a pleasant surprise.

Maker's Reject is third on the priority list. It probably won't get an update soon but it's a story I'm thinking about often and want to get back to.

I'm happy you got the chance to do this. Wishing you the best in all your writing efforts going forward. ^_^

Hey, the pleasure was all mine! Thanks for the opportunity, maybe we can do it again!

Having started dialysis recently, I've picked up a Kobo e-reader, and I've started reading a lot more. There's literally nothing to do when I'm in a chair with plastic tubes connecting my blood supply to a filtration machine beside me for four hours every other day. I'm about to reread Firebird Dahlia this Saturday, in fact. Looking forward to it.

Obviously, I'm like everyone else, we'd love to see more stories, but I also get that there's a number of reasons you haven't been able to finish them. I just hope you revisit them at some point. Even if Ice Iris has you stumped, maybe something else will come along, and we'll get another adventure with Sunset and Spitfire... :)

Yes, yes, more Across The Shimmering Sea, please. You left us hanging just when Twilight is about to go pirating.

Really hoping Across the Shimmering Sea gets updated. I love the idea of a EQG pirate story and yours got me hooked.

And I'm not apologizing for that pun

Still waiting for Across the Shimmering Sea to update. I all love your work and I'd be glad to read any new updates

Yessss, Across the Shimmering Seas is a story I've been re-reading a lot recently. I hope it does get an update, I really love the idea of it and how it'll develop, it's so good
