I'm a shameless neckbeard who has a knack for writing a LOT of smut. I have an Official Patreon page (Patreon.com/TheVClaw), and I also take commissions to help support myself as a freelance writer.

First post in 2024 -- Technical Difficulties

Hey, guys! I know its been a while since I made a blogpost, but I've been preoccupied with writing out commissions to keep up with bills. I also recently moved to a new place (dont worry, this one was planned better than the cross-country move back in 2022), and I've been settling nicely. I've been fortunate enough to work on a new series of my own accord titled 'To Nerd A Bird,' but at the

It's my Birthday! (Also, Patreon Updates)

Hey, y'all! As of today, I'm now a whopping thirty-three years old! I know that isn't really a big deal, but it's a good enough excuse to swing by here and explain where I've been.

    Commissions Still Open

Heya guys! I finally finished a good amount of my backlog, so I'm open for commissions at the moment. My rates will be around $20 per thousand words, although it may vary depending on content or number of characters involved. I don't know how many projects I'll be open to accept, but I'll likely delete this blogpost when I have enough to handle. Until then, please feel free to contact me though

Writing isn't easy · 9:14pm Apr 23rd, 2023

Hey, everyone. I know it's been way too long since I posted many updates, especially after how excited I was about that contest last month. To be totally honest, it was hard for me to even think about opening up this blog page and typing out my feelings. Although, that was mostly because I knew that my issues were completely my own, and that I was the only one to blame. I didn't want to just rant to a bunch of strangers online when it had nothing to do with them. But at the same time, I know that I owe it to my followers to explain what's been going on.

For starters, I'm not planning to abandon my Furry Foray Contest stories. I already know what I have planned for the final two pairings (Rarity X Krystal & Pinkie X Judy), and I was also planning to make a second chapter to the introductory story to bring Twilight back into the mix. However, since I no longer have a time-limit to get those stories made, I really need to focus on prepaid commissions before returning to those crossover stories.

Now with that being said, I should admit that I haven't been in the best mental state over the past couple months. It's not depression or anything; I was mostly just feeling overwhelmed and unable to get things done in a timely manner. I know I already mentioned how certain projects in the past ended up affecting me really badly, and I ended up deleting several tens of thousand words worth of content because it it. Unfortunately, I tried to take on a new project way too soon after that, and I found myself struggling way too much to get it written out. In the end, I just made things even worse for myself, which was the big drive that made me want to participate in that contest and prove myself.

As for the Furry Foray stories, I can honestly say that I'm happy with what I've written. The Loona/Fluttershy story was super fun, and the Lola/Dash one was a personal favorite of mine. The Rain/AJ fic was... definitely overambitious. I thought the overall idea would be appealing to everyone, but I didn't take into account how taxing it'd be to write out that scene with so many characters back-to-back. I was grateful to get it finished in time, but it also made me unable to finish my other stories before the contest ended. That really made me feel like crap afterward, especially when I saw some of the reviews of my previous entries and felt less confident about my standing. But again, that's just me, and I know better than to get too upset about those things.

But...

Ugggghhhhh... Jeeze, you guys did NOT hold back with your criticisms on Shining's Realization. That story was written after I found myself unable to make much content for weeks on end, and I was desperate to write something to get myself out of that funk. And after all the super-dark, borderline-sadomasochistic content I've written around Sombra, Cadance and Shining, I just wanted to try that dynamic in a different way. I started the story on a whim and just dove into it, eventually crafting out a SFW story I was actually happy about. I knew it probably wouldn't be popular on this FimFiction, but... damn.

But again, like I mentioned earlier, I know that's nobody's fault but mine. Many of the readers stated that it felt way too rushed, and... yeah. It was. I literally wrote the whole thing out in a couple of days, which usually worked out in the past for other impromptu stories ('Sorry For What?' is a good example). I will say though, I actually DO have an idea for how to improve the story without any editing or re-writing. After reading through the story in a more objective viewpoint, I realized that it would make much more sense if it was revealed that 'Shining's Realization' was actually a work of fiction written by Sombra himself, and was never meant to be read by anypony else before it got discovered.

Of course, that's another storyline that might need to be considered for another time. At the moment, I have a few prepaid commissions I need to finish up (especially since my boyfriend has a Doctor's appointment this week), as well as anther project I'm planning to update before next month. I'm doing what I can, but I just wanted to get this out there so people can understand where I'm coming from. I've already upset a few people in the past couple months, and the last thing I want to do is continue that downward spiral. But with all that being said, I really do wish all of you the very best, and I promise I'll have some more content out soon. I just need to make sure my own head is on correctly first. :P

In addition to the criticism. Many people that read your first grew to love this kind of sadistic style when featuring sombra. I just love these works.

Much love,

You know what? That's a fair point too.

And I do still enjoy those darker elements a ton. I just really needed a pallette cleanser after all the things I've written.

Writing is a fickle beast. I'm an up and coming fanfic writer as well, trying to find my grove. I went a whole month without putting down a single word, but then two days ago I was on a RED HOT writing streak, where I wrote 3000 words in a single day. It's tough to get into the right mindset to productively write fiction. It's not like a research essay or business report where you can just push through, even if your heart isn't in it.

Reading this writer's story, I understand that professionals in their field do not have an easy time in their work. But the most important thing, in my opinion, is not to lose the opportunity to generate ideas. Having excellent writing skills and ideas, the writer will always be able to be creative despite periodic troubles. What can you say about me? I am in college, but my writing skills have not developed personally. Preparing each homework is another challenge. I often use the site https://assignmentbro.com/ca/homework-help to get a good write-up because I can't find a solution in my case. A talented and experienced writer always realizes his potential and skills, and such a student without the necessary skills will seek homework help wherever there is an opportunity. I wish the author always to be full of ideas and realize his creativity. We need your work.

And I do still enjoy those darker elements a ton. I just really needed a pallette cleanser after all the things I've written.

Honestly, and with all due respect, I've never understood how you could stand to write them in the first place. I made the mistake of reading said fics a few years ago, and they (especially "Sacrifice", which I managed to turn away from a few chapters in) pretty much permanently turned me off any fics with Sombra, especially as a sexual creature. (With one exception, but it pre-dated my reading of said fics and is only one small bit.) I may have strange tastes, but a character not only being physically and mentally abused but wanting to be treated badly by their loved ones just... it made me physically ill.

I'm sorry if this bothers you, but it's just how I feel.

(Not that I dislike all your stories. "Mother Fluffer" in particular is a good one, as there's no abuse and the characters legitimately do care for one another. And the "Sluttified Spike" fics are sometimes fun. But Sombra as an abusive being... ugh.)

I actually have an idea for a storyline where Sombra is actually held accountable for his behavior, and it would lead to some much-needed communication between all three parties. I have no idea when I'll have the time to do it, but I feel like it's worth exploring sometime.

Also, I completely understand not enjoying my darker works. I always appreciate hearing feedback from readers, and I'm glad that you enjoyed Mother Fluffer. Crack ships are one of my favorite challenges, which is why I got into Shining/Sombra in the first place. :P

I see.

Well, if it retcons "Sacrifice" (or at least has Cadance slap Sombra down, at least metaphorically, with extreme prejudice in chapter 1 when he suggests certain events) into nonexistence... it'd be a major step in the right direction.

As far as I'm concerned, Cadance and Shining belong together, and Sombra taking Shining's place, let alone what he did afterward, was just wrong.
