    Tradition

This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.

    So fun facts
    1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures?
    2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

    Commissions Open: An Autobiography

Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar

My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no

    EFNW

I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.

Compatibility Testing - Or Dating in Labratory Conditions · 3:59pm Apr 2nd, 2023

I have a new original fiction piece up on Offprint!

I'm waiting to set up an AO3 account for people who prefer that, but I hate the UI over there.

This starts like a horror movie you know, but it doesn’t have to end that way.

In a top secret installation, miles below Colorado, they keep a traumatized psychic girl under careful scientific observation. Careful, because Nicole is the most dangerous thing in the world. So dangerous that the facility can only contain her if she lets it keep her.

Until now, she has. Until now Nicole hasn’t felt lonely, surrounded by the scientists that have adopted her - her team of Science Dads.

Now, though, she wants to try dating. And her Science Dads want to let her try - just, in safe, laboratory conditions. Without any risks of Nicole getting hurt.

The greatest minds of a generation work out if it’s possible to get their adopted daughter the ending she deserves.

It's a 21,000 word romcom with a traditional horror introduction - If anyone has better ideas or suggestions what to do with this stuff for an audience I'm all ears. But essentially this is the book I wrote to take a break from writing a book. Enjoy.

I don't have any suggestions on what to do with this, but it is delightful. I do love a good subverted horror premise, and this knocks it out of the park with both the character interaction and the fluff.

Something I miss coming out of fanfiction is how many pieces were pre-built for me, and it was very easy to use established pieces to actually say the thing I wanted to say. The tradeoff being that I'm able to use exclusively my own pieces though, that's really nice. This felt like the first thing I've written where it's as strong as my fanfiction work but just wholly my own - just because I absolutely love horror and most of it is terrible. It's so satisfying to riff on.

"Dating in Labratory Conditions" made me think Sci-Twi fic at first, but no. Cool thing though. Reading!

Nice opening!

Frickin Sweet!

Dialogue's great!

Comedy and Romance are accurate tags!

Maybe I'll wait until it's out of beta to sign in with Google. Not enough reason to give it that much. Yet.

I am almost done and its really good! Very funny!

The offprint website doesn't work for me. It says "Loading" forever.

I'll pass that one on. Just wrote a second chapter so this is just more motivation to post again with the AO3 alternative. Appreciate that you tried, though.

That was delightful.

Doctor Muay Thai is probably my favorite. That or the moronic fighter pilot.

Really everyone was great, though. I suspect there is some extraneous detail-chopping you could do if you were being truly ruthlessly quality-enhancing, but it was a joyful romp, you know, apart from the constant risk of explosions or other horrible death :)
