Oh yeah, I forgot something · 12:34am Apr 1st, 2023
State of the Writer posts don't get a lot of views, so it's unlikely anyone would go back to see anything I add, so I'll just make a new post. :) I was going to provide you all with the contents of a dream from earlier this week, pony-related, in lieu of any actual writing. But, y'know, I forgot, cuz I do that. :B
I did sit down and try to plot this out into a full story, but I'd have to spend too much time setting- and character-building to really make it work. So here's a summary, for those of you who like Fallout: Equestria stuff.
Of note first: This entire dream was narrated by VisualPony, who read Project Horizons to me. :) I found that highly intrigued, and he did too!
So the situation is like, Littlepip is in some kind of underground area. Probably a sewer that feeds into a cave. And there's some kind of known quantity about this infectious stuff dripping from the ceiling, that if you get too much on you, it'll turn you into some kind of fungus zombie.
She's down there with a group of ponies, like four or five, no idea who they were or even what their names were, let alone why they were down there, but LP was trying to help them escape without getting any goop on them.
So all but one of the group has gone on ahead to where they know the exit from this place is. It's like a giant, Stable-style circular door. But that's not important, LP and this dark blue unicorn mare with black mane are held back, and I don't know if they were pinned down or what, but they've hesitated and it's becoming too late to do anything as a horde of these shambling zombies are approaching. And when I say 'horde', I mean they're filling this cave from wall to wall. The exit, btw, is off to their left, so this is a T-junction.
Anyway, the blue mare is assembling a weapon, and Littlepip's like, what are you doing, we're almost out of here, just run! And the mare turns to her with this really sad expression, which is when LP sees she's got a patch of the fungal infection growing on her shoulder.
She's like, "It's too late for me. I'll hold them off while you all escape. And... tell him I'm proud of him."
And then we can see that she has assembled a battle saddle with a fucking minigun and she just starts laying into these zombies like a complete badass. She knows she's not long for this world, so she's hoping she can both protect her friends and die before the infection takes her completely. Like a complete badass.
Littlepip, not being that dumb, makes a break for the exit area, where the others have been unsuccessfully trying to open the door. And in particular is this pegasus stallion, brown with yellow mane, who takes serious notice when he hears that minigun fire, like he knows what that means. And LP comes screeching to a halt in front of him and doesn't even have to say anything, his eyes get big and watery and he stammers out, "I j-just l-l-love her s-so m-much!" Like, with this really gross, emotional, hoarse voice, but you can see in his face that while he's processing the fact that he's never going to see his marefriend again, he's just as proud of her if not moreso for making the sacrifice play.
And that's basically where it ends, but I thought it was neat, thank you for read my blog. :B
Sounds like the beginning ofa great new story!
