Hey everyone,
I'm still buzzing from finally getting the newest chapter of The Horizon Adventures out, and I hope you're all enjoying it. It was a long process, but we pulled through, and I can finally stop writing about Fords now!
Now, the next chapter is currently in the works, and I've got a pretty good grasp on whats gonna happen within the first couple of thousand words. Seven hundred of which have already been written, so the start of the chapter is already done with.
I'm absolutely not promising anything that I know I can't do this time around, but please don't take that the wrong way. Writing over 19,000 words for the Silverstone chapters was crazy enough, and I never thought it'd be that many by the end of it. Remember how I said I wanted to wrap up Silverstone as just one chapter in about 12k words? Yeah, that was just the length of the second half!
I want to get this final chapter to at least 10k, if not 12k like Silverstone Shakedown. But we'll see where it goes, won't we... It's entirely possible it'll end up even longer.
Anyway, I'm getting ready to sit down and write some fire for yall, and I'm not going to up and quit for another two years. From looking at the years which I publish chapters in, it seems like it'll be released in 2025! That won't happen, trust me. Now, in the same vain, I have a little bit of a confession to make, because I've just been feeling somewhat antsy about it...
I've actually been between stories for the last three weeks or so.
Now I want to stress that this story is not a sequel to The Horizon Adventures yet. I can't speak on whether I will go on to make one, because I don't want to repeat the past mistakes of going dark in 2020 and most of 2021. I was way in over my head back in 2019, and it's taken a while to realise that.
What I will say though is that it's a lot shorter. It's a little bit comedic too, and it's definitely car related. I think you lot will like it, and I can definitely see short one-shots being my future thing.
Will it be up soon? For the time being, I'm going full force back into The Horizon Adventures. Maybe I'll get it up before releasing this next THA chapter, because the original thought process for it was to use this upcoming story to spur on my creativity and get Silverstone Shakedown out faster. I'd like to think that it worked, so don't think that it delayed the chapter by three weeks. I would quite literally be switching between THA and this new story multiple times on some nights.
I only did it because it's what Diaries Of A Madman author WhatMustIDo is doing with his newest story as well. So you guys can thank them for that, in a way!
So, to sum it up; THA is in full swing, almost a thousand words into the next chapter. I've got a new shorter story planned and would like to get it out within a couple months.
And then... We'll see what comes next. Take care guys
