Night of the Shy revamp samplse - and thank you, Equestria Daily! · 6:25pm Nov 1st, 2011
First off, welcome everyone who found me thanks to Equestria Daily featuring Dimension Twist: The Cut Sequence. I can't say how fun it was to write that. I just might make the prose adaptation a bit extended too...
Anyways, the massive revamp of Night of the Shy is coming along nicely, though my new job will delay it a bit. But in the meantime, have two samples from my notes so far:
Sample 1: She couldn't believe it herself. She was terrified of everything, yet she was so deep in the Forest, she didn't even know if she could find her way back.
Sample 2: Statues dotted the gardens surrounding the Royal Labyrinth. Some were very old, with cracks running all over their weathered stone, while the newer ones still defied the winds that whipped over them. Some were simply works commissioned by the Royals, symbolizing the virtues that kept Equestria strong. Others were memorials to heroes of days past - such as the one celebrating The Saving of the Dragons, Dame Lickety-Split's expulsion of the evil force that had corrupted the beasts of the Everfree Forest, and led to as much peace between the species as there could possibly be.
Gotta go to work now. Again, thanks, ED!
