Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. Something like this headcanon was a necessary starting point for a VERY strained reading of the lyrics of "When the Day Met the Night" (also Celestial trans IG) I was toying with at some point.
It's kinda cute, though.
That feels like it would lead to some unfortunate yet amusing misunderstandings with some people. Like, maybe they're hanging out with Twilight and since they're with someone they trust, they let their guard down and do some acts with each other that are just a bit beyond sisterly love - nothing sexual or romantic but their history and relation (or lack thereof in terms of blood) lends them towards something just a bit more intimate.
Cue Twilight observing and overthinking things, wondering if this is what true sisterhood is like
or if this is possibly even incestuoustill Celestia and Luna hurriedly clear the air and reveal the truth.God forbid their youngest awkward alicorn buddy asks Rarity if that's what it's like being sisters with Sweetie Bell.
