My Final Thoughts on The Bonds of Love

And that’s that. That’s the end.

It’s been quite the ride, hasn’t it? Over a year spent writing The Bonds of Love, and over a year and a half spent discussing the actual writing process.

I think I’ve said everything I had to say or even could say about my story, but well? Come on, you all know me enough by now to know I just can’t shut up even when I should.

    Sooo…?

And here we are at last... The final third of the Epilogue's discussion, and thus, the final major installment of the Writing of The Bonds of Love.

No need to dawdle any further, I think. Let's get right into it!

The Writing of The Bonds of Love (Chapter Fifteen: Family, Part Two), continued.

And we’re back for the final part of the Ch.15(Family, Part Two) discussion!

The story so far: After a grueling impromptu therapy session, Gallus has finally won Ocean Flow’s approval, and the duo now races toward the surface world to inform Silverstream of this glorious development, alongside an explanation for why such approval was refused for so terribly long…

It's Almost Here Again! · 7:34pm Feb 15th, 2023

Alright, everyone! I’m finally back with an update on the “Writing of…” situation. Long story short: I intend to provide it in two formats:

1) A Google Doc. Currently, the entire thing rests within a single Doc, and as such, is darn near 1,000 pages long.

And 2) Blog Posts. Every individual chapter’s discussion will be getting its own individual BP, and in the cases where said discussion ran too long to be in one, that particular discussion will be split into multiple BPs.

According to a friend, BPs should be able to hold roughly 16k words of content, so that’ll give you a clue for when a multi-part discussion will happen; although, if it helps: Such won’t be necessary until we discuss Ch.11(Closure); everything before should fit comfortably within a single BP.

The only major differences between the Google Doc and the Blog Posts will be the formatting in certain places.

GD will feature Indents, Page Breaks, and Bookmarks to make it easier to read things; quoted excerpts will be highlighted; and sadly, there will be a distinct lack of Fimfiction’s emoticons. :raritycry:

Fimfic’s BPs won’t have any Indents, etc. for obvious reasons, but quoted excerpts will actually appear in Fimfic’s traditional quoting format, and the emoticons will be back. :yay:

Beyond that, the only difference will perhaps be a rewritten line or changed punctuation that I simply forgot to fix for both GD and BP; there will be no exclusive content or anything similar. Just to make that absolutely clear.

However! Before I close this off, I would like to ask everyone here a question:

Would you prefer I upload the BPs individually first, before sharing the Google Doc?

– Pros: This will mimic my intended experience of delivering the content—One week or so between each BP upload, so everyone has a good chunk of time to read through each before continuing into the next one.

– Cons: You guys will have to wait a week or so between each BP upload, despite the entire thing being ready to go in a massive Google Doc.

Or! Would you prefer I share the Google Doc link alongside the first BP(And all subsequent ones), so those who wish to read the entire thing can do so from the very beginning?

– Pros: After almost two f:yay::yay::yay:ing years, you guys can finally get your hands on everything I’ve been working on during that time.

– Cons: The Google Doc is roughly 239k+ words long. A wee bit much to expect anyone would want to slog through that for days on end, even if I did section off the majority of it into Bookmarked sections to make navigation easier.

Additionally, and though this isn’t all that much of a concern, the Google Doc being immediately available would likely mean less reason to actually bother with reading the BPs themselves.

I’d prefer getting as much input on this matter as I can before I go ahead and make any proper decision, let alone set a release date for it. So if you could, please do share your input if you can.

Thank you for your patience, everyone! And have a wonderful day!
