    Update

Hey, I wanted to give you all a heads up.

So this next chapter is a pretty major one for the story - on the level of the Gourd Fest, Twilight and Starlight in the snow, and the final cluster of 4-6.

As such, I've been taking my time and am 7k words in and I know it's going to be more than double that.

So I watched the last several episodes...

It was such a cute ending. Very nostalgic-feeling. Didn't cry, but it made me reflect on the show that has been a constant in my life since spring of 2012.

If you've heard any controversy about it, don't heed it any concern. It's the squalling of children unhappy that the story isn't what they wanted it to be - as it has been every season.

    It's the endgame, y'all

That was a killer premiere. Honestly, Grogar has this gravitas to him, this insight and perspective that's already established him, in my mind, as a terrifying MLP villain. Being the source of everything evil, all the monsters we've seen, it's all on him. And that voice and the design? Oh! I love this villain.

Last chapter of act 4 is finally finished

At 44K words and 103 single-spaced pages on gdocs, the next chapter of 'The Broken Bond' is at last finished, and ho boy, a lot happens. I just need to edit it - expect it Saturday if not tomorrow. Thank you all for being patient with me.

So the other day, I went to see The Hobbit... · 4:30am Dec 16th, 2012

So the other day, I went to see The Hobbit. And I'm going to be honest, I haven't seen the original Lord of the Rings movies. I was walking with some friends and they were talking about how 'pumped' they were for The Hobbit and asked if I'd go with them. My response?

"Uh, sorry guys. I guess I'm the only person in America who hasn't seen Lord of the Rings. I was never into that fantasy stuff, sorry."

Their response?

I'm the guy in the pot, and I wasn't even mad.

My friends hauled my ass to their house and we had a marathon of all three movies. In nine whole hours. Was I derp? Yes, yes I was. But I have to say, the movies were pretty good. The characters' names were hard to remember, though.

So a day later, we all see the Hobbit. It was f**king awesome. In my opinion, way better than the LOTR, but that's just me. So why the hell am I talking about this on Fimfiction? Well, there was a trailer for a movie, Pacific Rim...
Listen to the computer's voice.

Dude, it's frickin' GLaDOS. Well, I'm happy to see she's still finding work after Aperture closed down. She was once the head of a research facility, now she's the spokesman for a giant fighting robot.

Oh, and I checked IMBD. They really got Ellen Mclain to do the voice. Isn't life grand?

Pacific Rim? Looks good :)
Oh, don't feel bad, I've never watched LOTR either :p

I freaking LOVE Glados!!! I'm going to see that movie just because of her now

yeah the hobbit is a great movie, though i agree that as with the lord of the rings its difficult to remember all the names especally as half of them sound the same. most of the time i just focus on the main characters like bilbo, frodo, gandolf and so on while i just dont bother with the others like the rest of the hobbits names.

Wait... A "Portal" between realities... GLaDOS as the targeting computer... Dear Faust, this is all Aperture's fault! :rainbowhuh:

To be honest, you could have seen the Hobbit first, Seeing as it was written, published, and comes/came before The Lord of the Rings. That being said, best use of 9 hours I have heard of in a while. Can't wait to see the Hobbit on Monday.

Glados!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like 2 factions from a collectable miniature game known as Monsterpocalypse. Makes me interested as it was a great, but neglected game.

The armor the soldiers wear... it looks like something from aperture labs.

So many wonderful coincidences! I hope her voice shows up more often in the movie than it did in the trailer!

The exact same thing happened to me, but I had to watch the extended editions. Anyway, The Hobbit was bloody awesome.

Gotta wait until the 26th to see the hobbit in Australia. So unfair.

Also i just marathoned the the whole Lotr trilogy for like the 100th time.

GLaDOS has worked on Persona 4 Arena too, just see the cutscenes before final fight of Yu Narukami's story mode.

Welcome back GlaDOS.

Heck, I think Privateer Press forgot about it too.

If you want the true LOTR experience, you must watch all of the extended cuts... 11hrs 22min. It's totally worth it.

Just got back from seeing the Hobbit myself. It was not only awesome, :rainbowdetermined2: but it was also very well done . Having seen it, I believe splitting it into 3 movies is now justified. Also, all of the subtle little continuity nods to the LotR trilogy are excellent.
That out of the way, I am going to see that Pacific Rim thing. I don't care how many continents I have to budge to make it happen, I will find a way to watch Glados as the AI of a giant Mecha fight alien Godzilla wannabees.

GlaDos driving a giant mech...

...oh hell, yes !

That Pacific Rim movie looks like shit, but I will still see it and love every second of it... And if Glados controls a big ass mech I will go apeshit. Also, neurotoxin and potatoes have to be involved. And birds...
And the extended versions add 3 hours to that marathon...Still worth it.

Don't worry TheApex, I didn't even watched The Lord of The Rings Trilogy either. I guess I should watch The hobbit as well.

>>brightwarriorz It cant be shit, Del toro is directing, and everything his spanish hands touch turn to gold. :scootangel:
