Artwork for the new book! · 10:12pm Jan 26th, 2023
So, my new book is nearing completion, I've already got the artwork done, all I need to do is edit it. Here's the cover art, a lovely piece by the very talanted Lazybuns:
Tor came out a little too dark, but I still think it works, especially given that he's supposed to be in the shadow. If anyone still wants to help me edit this thing, let me know!
As for those of you not in the know (Not sure how, given that my plan is in nearly every single one of my author's notes), I'm currently converting my works here into something that I can actually publish. Yes, I plan on continuing the pony-based fiction. No, the pony-based fiction isn't going anywhere. Yes, if you want me to produce more pony, this is the best way to encourage and support me in that endevor, given that I use this platform to practice and test my ideas.
My first book, What I've Become.
The second should be on its way soon!
Also, at the moment, if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can read my first book absolutely free. Just thought you ought to know.
I can't remember, were you still gonna do the pony version, or is that Dead, Jim?
Wait, I just did more than skim, nvm
5710781 I would like to direct your attention to this very blog post for the answer to your question. Specifically this line, here:
Looks good!
I think the art style looks better then the last one, at least I see it as being more aimed toward more 'serious' young adult audience if leaning more toward males, but look to appeal more toward general comic readers audience. For European I think it could almost past as main stream for the style. I wish you the best of luck on your story.
5710821 Yeah, let's just say that the first one's artist wasn't my first pick. She wasn't even my 14th pick. That being said, I'm really happy with what the new artist has done with the direction I've given her, she really went all out.

Sorry man for having been so critical about the last one, it was just that I felt it really didn't fit the tone of the story, or the type audience of audience that I think you were trying to reach, I couldn't articulate it at the time without going into a very long rant, because there was so much I wanted to explain all my issues of it.

Yeah, my other comment said 'never mind' after I did more than skim the page
5710836 Yeah, and I commented mine like, at the exact time you commented your update. It's fine, I felt really weird about it afterwards.
5710838
lmao
5710835 No, you're good. It wasn't my favorite, either. It was, however, all I had available.
This looks absolutely phenomenal
Can't wait to get back into reading this series, it's been years since I last read these stories.
the aliens looked way different in my head not gonna lie.
give us a shout when your second books gets published will yah? ill add it to my library.
I just bought the first fic, and I am waiting for it to arrive so I can read it but I also can't wait to get this one.
5710982 you can read it now, if you have a kindle ready device. The purchase of the physical book gets you the digital copy onto your account for free.
I'll have to reread the "What I've Become" word doc again to remember the appearance of the characters, I couldn't tell which bird is which without a refresher. 180k word count, you doubled the original fic again(think the first went from 40k to 87k) and I am gonna enjoy having such a beefy book to read thru page by page. Sucks again about the first book's errors not being caught before release and more so how a whole(if small) part got changed, but hey least I got it the old edition even if I have to read the word doc vs the physical copy anyways.
Glad to have you back after all this time. Not many other fic writers I can say the same about. Also glad I kept checking up on your profile despite my attitude vs uncompleted works.
5710988 If you want, you can update your digital copy to the current version. It takes a bit of digging, but the option to do that is found in Amazon's settings.

Nah, you misunderstand, I do have the updated word doc, from one of your blogs I'm sure. It just is sad that the book is mostly just a art piece on a shelf cus it is missing parts that were missed from the final version edit. There is just something about reading from a physical copy that I don't get much anymore, same with manga too.
5710993 Sorry about that, man. I don't exactly have an editor, so I've got to do it all myself. If I could send out corrected copies to everyone, I would. But I can't, so all I can do is apologize.
My compliments to the Artist(s), this is a pleasing piece.
5711019 I'm really happy how it turned out, too! Just need to edit the book, and she'll be ready!

Oh, didn't know that, this is the first time I bought a book from Amazon. Thanks for telling me.
5711046 Don't worry about it. And it's actually not the usual thing that happens with amazon books. You see, in the creator's page, it gives you the option to hand out free digital copies with the purchase of the physical book, and I clicked that, because I firmly believe that if you've bought the physical, you should get the digital free of charge.
Neat.

Yay! \○/ XD
