January Bleh, And Story/Writing Updates · 7:44pm Jan 21st, 2023
I think I've seen the sun a grand total of three times in the last two weeks. If I didn't know any better, I would have suspected that the Grand Pegasus Enclave had decided to close up the skies and keep us poor Unicorns and Earth Ponies under perpetual grey. With the exception of it not raining and almost every storm coming in the form of snowflakes (minus one day where it wasn't quite cold enough for snow but just cold enough for ice and freezing rain), we've reached the fourth snowiest start of winter in Minnesota in recorded history.
I'm ready for it to be spring very soon and avoid the thaw-melt cycle that my room is unfortunately vulnerable to for some reason. My mom's house could use some much better drainage, but c'est la vie.
So, some life updates: I'm on estrogen now! I had a follow-up appointment with my PCP who is in charge of my GAHT care and the next step was taken in placing me on a regimen of 4mg of estradiol per day. I started my journey back in April of 2022 and am glad to be taking the medical steps in my gender transition. I'm super excited about the future and what it has in store for me. Now if I just knew what size of dresses I should be buying.
The second bit of news is not quite as fun: this upcoming June, my six-year-long 5e Dungeons & Dragons campaign is going to come to an end with my DM's second child arriving not too long after. I've had a wonderful journey playing as Sawtooth {Male Tiefling Rogue} (also, what a stupid name, Note), Eilrieth {Female High Elf Wizard}, Cheyenne {Female Kitsune Mystic (It's an Unearthed Arcana class) turned Monk} and Briar {Male Dragonborn Barbarian} in the world of Albion. I've got some ideas milling about in my head if ever another chair gets pulled out for me to sit down in at someone else's table. Haven't played a fighter—yes, they're basic AF but also a lot of fun and I could do a lot with the story. Although I just looked at some of the stuff my Rogue has/had (looks like I accidentally deleted the original character sheet) and it's kinda spicy!
All right, story updates!
With the help of my co-writer, States of Mist has gotten to two chapters of a planned five. It's still in an unpublished state as I'm waiting to hear back from an artist I requested permission to use their artwork as the cover for the story. Once it reaches three chapters and I get the OK to use the art, you can look for it to show up on the site.
The second update is for the "bonus chapter" to States of Mist, Condensation. It's completely optional and you can still enjoy the story that we're writing without reading it but for those who wish to see an alternate version of events and want to see the mares of the Mane 5 and Misty engaging in a bit of "extra-circullar activities", you might want to give it a gander as soon as I'm done with it. Holy heck, it's a beefy story: almost 35K words of giantess lesbian horse smut.
As I go into February, I may just drop the axe on Sunset's Last Glow. It's been ELEVEN YEARS since I started penning it, and I'm in a much different place emotionally and physically now. I've lost touch with the story and as much as I'd love to pull it out of the proverbial closet and put a finish to it, I'd rather not pick something back up that I don't believe I have the heart to finish anymore. It was a delightfully ambitious story that I started, but not every story can get fully actualized.
I did look back at the outline that I have for Until Death Do Us Part and as soon as States of Mist is close to wrapping, that's going to be where my attention is going to switch to. Sorry, macrophiles, you might need to wait a bit of time for the next chapter of A Milk Mare's (Macro) Tour—I promise, it'll be worth it!
As for me, I'm going to finish getting my laundry folded up and enjoy the rest of my Saturday!
