Not dead, yet. Writing here and there. · 6:25am Dec 8th, 2022
Okay, so...not dead as the title states which is good. Um...writing wise, I have just been screwing around with different little side projects that are of the content I don't upload because it is not pony related or horror related. I have talked about this stuff previously, I have things I write like sci-fi and I do Roleplay (Like DnD stuff and World of Warcraft, etc...)
I have been trying to retrain my writing muscles and I've gradually been working through a writing course that I purchased because 2023 is definitely the year that Popcorn gets finished. Every time I would sit down to work on it, I would start by reviewing all the past plot points to try to get up to speed on what I was doing and I would then lose my sense of direction as soon as I get started because of life issues forcing my attention away from Popcorn. I'm changing the development process to just not account for any of that and freehand the remainder of the novel and I can just worry about it when I get to the editing process...which is the exact opposite of how I normally handle my work, but nothing else is working for me so that is what I am going to do. I am not putting a ETA on popcorn, but what I am going to do is I am going to finish it then my plan from there is I want to start Callsign D.M.C up to chapter 3 so we will get to see some of Deldius. After that, I want to start a different novel also up to Chapter 3 of the novel. A separate 10k word short story and I want to try to finish some other documents I started previously, but never finished because I recovered them on some old flash drives which was amazing!
Now about Blogs, this one being the exception, but I am not going to post new blogs until after I upload a story because I am terrible about that and it is a bad writing habit that needs to go for me. All I wanted to get out tonight was "Hey, I'm not dead and neither is my work so good things to come."
I do miss being a creative writer and I think going without for as long as I did gave me some perspective on how important that is to me. I think I was subconsciously realizing that when I wrote "A tattered hoof", but some other mental things were going on in my head at the time. In any case, people can read again after my next upload.

A respectable decision. Those of us who have no experience writing a suspense story cannot understand how difficult it can be to find not only the inspiration, but also the patience to build a complex and entertaining narrative.
It is important to focus priorities. Take your time and remember that I am looking forward to reading the outcome of Popcorn as well as its future sequel.
