Post surgery · 11:07pm Nov 30th, 2022
Well, I had my surgery. It was a rousing success. I now have a battery and some wires in my head... forever. Once a day I scan the battery and upload the data to my neurologist, so that's cool. They tested the battery right after surgery and found evidence of seizures. So I was still having them five minutes after installation.
It was a nasty day, all things considered. I woke up at 4 to make it to the hospital for check in at 5:30. Whee. The nurse came in to put my IV in (the worst part) and saw a bunch of good veins to work with. However, I hate needles so much that the second she put the needle in, the veins contracted, and she couldn't find one and had to call another person to do it. They put the IV in the crook of my left arm. Which really sucked. I'm left handed. The nurse then gave me a drug that would make me fun loopy, so I was looking forward to that, but the next thing I knew, I woke up to the nurses telling me that it was all over and everything had gone well. Then I waited in the post surgery room until a room in the ICU opened up. I waited for seven hours.
Once I got a room it was just more waiting and sleeping. I watched a bit of TV and had some food. The pain meds were great. I was sent home with a prescription for Oxy, which was awesome. Very needed.
So yeah, I've spent the last week recovering. Get better every day. I have a big scar on my head sewn shut, and there was a while there where I felt like my scalp wasn't fully attached. I have pics. They're gruesome. Look it up if you want to see.
So yeah. That was my surgery. Everything is all good.
Congratulations! I'm glad to hear you're okay!
Congrats ^^
So does that make you a cyborg? Do you have like electric superpowers? Can you fly? Can you transform? If so what can you turn into? And what is your Favorite? And finally are you really a robot sent to take over the world?
Jesus that's one hell of a week
Glad the surgery was successful, here's to hoping that no further complications arise,
That's kinda cool sounding but I know how awful it's gonna bee for a while. I'm pulling for ya!
Glad to hear the surgery went well. Hopefully the procedure helps with the seizures. Take care!
Well, that sounds like it must've sucked. But hopefully you'll be able to reduce the seizures a bit and the recovery doesn't skip straight to the itchy part.
On the bright side I can now welcome you to the Brotherhood of Cyborgs.
And hey, at least membership didn't cost you and arm or a leg!
Just one step closer to full Cyborg. Then your super hero career can begin!
Tell me...did you happen to notice any men in...black suits...wearing sunglasses...watching you from the...corners?!

Nah, not cyborg.
Part unicorn !
The wires and battery are placing our friend here on the path to unicorn-hood.
Just you watch... those implants will soon grow into a bonafide unicorn horn

Is he still gonna take over the world tho?
Glad everything went so well. Here's to a speedy recovery 🍺
I hope you recover quickly from the surgery. Hopefully it helps out in the long term.

Heh. It’s always touted that unicorns are the master race.

So world domination, yay!
No, it’s not what it seems, it’s a fun story - go read.
Seriously, seeing Rarity as a flaming racist just cracks me up.
And who doesn’t love it when Pinkie Pie is written as a character who has intelligent insight and even teaches Twilight a thing or two?
